Well-kept place, good kitchen. In summer beautiful garden.I always like to go there.

Goose with red cabbage dumplings and fairy tale ordered to take away. It was delicious.

Great restaurant with great cuisine! Here someone understands something about cooking. Small card, all fresh. Something more vegetarian would be great. Drinks quite expensive.

I was there with my family. I think the specialities asparagus etc. are a bit overpriced. All other dishes have very good prices. Best of all: it is really delicious! Fresh prepared and tasty. It has my recommendation

It's always fresh. It's always good. And the prices are absolutely adequate for the type of food being served. Watch out for the seasonal recommendation or the monthly menu. But also the regular menu is offering a lot of local, traditional food with a very...refreshing style. Take a look at the wine card and ask for one of the local brandschnaps after Dinner. Make sure you put in a reservation in time. Especially over the weekend this place is ver busy and there good reasons for that View menu

We went for dinner with family. As the weather is nice, we choose the table outside. Waiter came right away and gave us good service. The card is not complicated, it's standard German food like schnitzel and asparagus was recommendation as the season is coming. We had schnitzel with asparagus, rib eye steak also with asparagus and salad with octopus ordered as main course. Overall food was further from I expected. We paid 80 Euro bill and left not satisfied at all. It was way too expensive for such food. Salad was small, steak was so so, not sure whether it was rib eye, asparagus was not the best one i tasted this far. It was not high class standard and also not a low key restaurant. So most...

We arrived early enough to get a table without a reservation. Weather was good so we sat outside in their biergarten tables were set up as per Corona requirements. Friendly waiter wearing full face shield took our drinks order while we studied...the menu which had a few well chosen dishes, daily specials were written up on large blackboards on the back wall. We chose a couple of Argentinian Steaks with Ratatouille sliced potatoes with a sidesalad. Ordered a couple of large beers while we waited, the place started filling up with guests with reservations. I found "The Lion" through the journal "Frankfurt geht aus" the (annual) local print special with restaurant rankings.I have just been there the second time and the experience is the same.The restaurant is not too big at the first glance but has an additional room upstairs and is at weekends often booked. In these cases it takes long until you get your food.
