"This is a terrible restaurant. Avoid it at all costs. The waiters were rude and acts like you 're inconveniencing them for being there. We paid £125 for 3 people’s meal that were barely edible. It was lunchtime. We had just visited Alexandra Palace and were like looking for some indian food nearby. What a mistake! They were serving rotten salads and may be the chicken was cooked at least two weeks ago. Almost anywhere else would have been better. I don 't know whether it was the fact that the food was listed under veggies or that there was a 10% service surcharge on top of the inflated prices or that soft drinks cost £10. I don 't know whether it was instant glare we got when we entered the restaurant which made us feel unwelcome, the snappy and rude 'No ' response when we enquired whether they had any vegan meals. I don 't know whether it was the hieroglyphic bill designed to confuse us on leaving or the scared and silent faces of the several fellow tourists also incarcerated alongside us. We made good our escape and paid someone to let us out of the front door (leaving our card details would have been too risky)! We can only hope that those we left behind, later managed to find safe passage out, possibly when the guard 's backs were turned by means of some distraction. The cheapest possible food at the highest possible prices, effectively a greasy spoon masquerading as a restaurant. The only plus-side was my indian curry looked like a poked face!"

Fabulous Indian Restaurant! I highly recommend this place! Wonderful selection of food. Amazing quality and portion sizes. Professional and friendly service. Lovely atmosphere- including 2 waterfalls! Will definitely come here again.

that was terrible. service even worse, had to wait until the age arrives for food. the restaurant has gone back in the course of the years. I went there either alone or with my daughter who used to eat and loved the service. but what I have seen recently, I will not go back to spend my hard-earned money.

after 20 years returned to dipali, sorry, we were disappointed. the service was casual, no one offered to take our weights at the arrival, at two places I had to ask twice for items and three times after the bill at the end of the evening. the rice served with our dish was not basmati as they would expect, and my paratas were stone and did not seem to be cooked. No, don't send back, don't disturb. stay with me in the future.

I understand the service issues that some people have mentioned, but I think it may be a generational thing. The maitre d' here seems to be old school and focused on running a tight ship, perhaps not accustomed to modern sensibilities. This restaurant is like a hedgehog: tough on the outside but delightful once you get past that. The food wasn't very spicy, so you may need to ask for extra heat if you prefer. If you want to pay a 15% Service charge then visit this restaurant. It is important to note that this information is on their menu (but doesn’t stand out) and it wasn’t mentioned when we ordered. While discussing this point with the manager. It was clear that he had no interest in taking our viewpoint on board he actually suggested us having a takeaway instead next time! Such a shame that this very poor customer service has now lost them two customers. We have been here before (a few times) and never had this problem.
