"The food is pretty good. We had the buttermilk chicken burger and the chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles was two wedges of waffles and two chicken breasts. Not a massive amount of food, but it was tasty. The ranch sauce is not perfectly authentic, but comes close. The food is all a la carte. Fries don't come with anything. We did order the truffle fries. They were alright. The cheese seemed a bit cheap on top and there was no parmesan. So be prepared for that. Drinks seem pricey, so we just had a coke zero. Music was good. And the rooftop setting at Westgate is always nice. Parking will be expensive if you park there."

The fried chicken and burgers at this restaurant were fantastic, but we were disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options available for our guests.

It's a pity that it's in a sanitary shopping center, but it can't really blame. we went with two teenage children and they loved it, very, very beautiful View menu

It's a shame that the restaurant is located in a sanitized shopping center, but overall, we couldn't find any faults with it. We dined with two teenage kids and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was very delicious.

Enjoyable burgers. Food arrived reasonably quickly, and its a good relaxed atmosphere to take a break from shopping. I'm a bit torn on the pricing its a bit expensive given the size of the burger, but the childrens meal was free when we got our mains.

It was an incredible place to go, the food was unbelievably tasty, and I've never had a drink so good!! It was a pon du passion. I will definitely be coming back. But also wanted to say our server Jemma was amazing, so friendly and so talkative, really hope to have her serving us next time. Her customer service is top notch!! View menu

Came here with three friends and had a fantastic time. I ordered the Duck Benedict with a side of fries and it was sensational and came out within ten minutes. Quick and attentive service, couldn't fault them and beautiful location in the heart of Oxford. Recommend to anyone who is new to Oxford and looking for a quick and impressive dining experience.

Me and my girlfriend went recently for a late night dinner and we had a great night! The food was good and the service was even better. We had great service and suggestions from a server called Andy : The ribs were good, corn on cob, and the Buffalo burger. We also tried a recommended dessert, thanks to Andy, the ice cream doughnuts which were bomb. Overall, great experience and would recommend!

"I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
