"we are about 1:30 and waited before we got room and the order dragged a little (30',) but we were warned by the boss when we arrived, so stop knowingly. The pizzas are good, the duck magret is very good and cooked perfectly, and the children's menus have been ingurgated entirely, especially the homemade fries. The desserts are good, very well served in quantity, and the price very accessible compared to the one that you sometimes find ( chocolate mousse at 3,40 €).2 children's menus at 8,8 € each, a pizza, a magret, and 2 desserts"

A nice cozy terrace in centre of duras with pizzas that are richly sieged. Also, here, there's more than one. Reserve a table. A total rapist for an exquisite pizza!

Nice food. Very nice service. Also in a problem. This will be resolved immediately. The hostess is doing their best with the staff to do everything right. I'm glad some staff speak English, too. View menu

restaurant with decor quite old. not our first choice but this day (market) few restaurants open.Table for two in the room car terrace complete.Map with choice but really excessive prices for the region. low quality kitchen compared to price. The service is, however, very good, young waitress very smiling and efficient.

A delightful shady courtyard and rustic décor make this place a delight to visit. Better yet the food was very good and portions so generous we could barely eat the entire meal. Pizzas of course and very good too with fresh ingredients. A range of other dishes from a wide menu and moderately priced wines make this place well worth visiting. We'd eat here again anytime. family lunch in the room, because the terrace, very pleasant, was complete. restau tranquil, unpretentious, whose kitchen is of good quality without being exceptional. Pizzas are large and rather good, though sometimes a little fat or too salty. the reception is very friendly and the pleasant setting, but the addition a little higher than the equivalent in large cities.

Our first venture out for dinner in Duras. Booked a table during this very busy day - managed to sit outside (perfect given the temperature) Service was fab and friendly esp. the young waitresses with lots of craic esp. with young lady from Louth !! (You know who you are!) Pizza and burgers were presented well and very enjoyable - my fault I ordered Cider which was very sweet and just 2%. It was busy because it is good and well worth second visit

"For some time we had planned to dine at the Cafe De La Paix in Gensac, but it was the arrival of a house guest that prompted our visit.Reviews from our Tripadvisor reviewers had raised our expectation of a great meal and splendid evening, but the expectation was not realised on the day. I am prepared to say that we were unlucky, perhaps the chefs off day, but alas this was an experience to forget. The cafe has a traditional French exterior which says, "traditional Country French Cooking' so entering through the front door to be greated with a pool table, took the shine of of that. The greeting from the serving lady was warm and friendly and put us at our ease.Yes they had our reservation and showed us to our table, inside with a great view over the terrace to the valley below.A carafe of water arrived, with rather rustic kitchen glasses, it as not really hot outside but the tepod non cooled water did nothing to quench our thirst. The menus arrived, nicely presented, clear and easy to read. we all chose the set menu at €26, the only set menu choice. My colleagues chose the chacutrie for the first course , which consisted of slices of ham a small tranche of pate and a cornichon.I chose the salad Perigordine, which was substantial, but included only a sparse number of gissier, no sliced smoked duck brest, but loads and loads of fried lardons. Two of of us chose the faux filet, cooked exactly as ordered, indeed I wanted mine very blue and the serving lady commented that if it was underdone the chef would cook it some more. It was perfect and had good flavour. But oh dear the potatoes were under cooked and slimmy. Our hostess chose the fish which was excellent but the vegetables were to quote her disgusting'.There was a wide choice of sweets and were unremarkable. We chose a carafe of the local Bordeaux red wine at €12, good quality and a perfect choice. We were made to feel at home, the service was very good and nothing was too much trouble, but alas the Chef had 'lost the plot. day'. No I cannot recommend this restaurant. but am happy to say we hit it on a bad chef day, and no we will not be returning, a great pity returning"
