"For the past couple of years, I have dropped into the Goulash House on my way home when I have wanted a good, fulfilling meal and relaxation. Sometimes, I would bring my own beer or wine, but now I am delighted they have a drinks licence and I am able to drink Hungarian wines, including Royal Tokaji dessert wine. It is very much a family-run restaurant and the walls are decorated with large photographs of Hungarian scenery. The meals of traditional Hungarian dishes and some Italian ones are really great. Amongst the desserts, my favourites are delightfully thin pancakes with apricot and cream or chestnut puree with cream. On occasion, I have taken overseas guests to dinner there and they have always enjoyed and now I look forward to taking them there to sample Hungarian wine and spirits with their meals. I am also looking forward to a cheese and wine evening. Now Soho's Gay Hussar restaurant has closed, I urge Londoners to sample Norwich's Hungarian restaurant."
