The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and incredibly efficient. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. They were also very helpful with my difficulties in navigating stairs, offering the use of a ramp and assistance with doors. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we look forward to visiting again.

had friends of newcastle, so the man chose, as my man always says, his best steak he ever had, everything was perfect except the men steak. asked for medium rare but came medium well back. explains to the waitress who spoke to the cook and everything was sorted without hesitation. next one was perfect, loved the fact that the cook came out and even apologised. our guests loved it and so we have to say as unnecessary we will return. also a big scream from the team, bar staff, waiter etc.

My partner and I truly enjoyed our visit to the restaurant. The food was excellent! My partner started with the crispy katsu chicken, which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. For our main courses, I had the taverner's chicken, while he opted for the rump steak with pepper sauce. Both dishes were absolutely delightful. To finish off, I had the sticky toffee pudding, which was a perfect ending. We would like to extend our compliments to the chef, who we discovered was Blair, as he was in the kitchen all day.

There was an impressive selection of children's meals with generous portions, and for just five pounds, the meal included a drink as well. Jackie even brought out a little hard bread for my daughter to try with her sausages, even though it wasn't on the menu, which was a thoughtful touch. The food I saw being served looked like large portions and was beautifully presented. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. I will definitely return, both with and without my children. The excellent service and friendly atmosphere make this place a must-visit, and I would recommend it to everyone! View menu
