Eckstein - Menu

Wir wollten einen entspannten Feierabend, bekamen aber das falsche Essen und eine überhöhte Rechnung. Unsere Reklamation wurde mit einem Schulterzucken beantwortet.

We generally visit Eckstein when in Cologne, both to eat or just have a drink. The staff are always friendly and the food has always been good. They have an outdoor area and rugs are available if it is a bit chilly.

There a new Owner running this Place. It all looks the same but in a way a little different. A bit modernized, new Meals and Drinks. You still get your classics, the wine card is shortened, you now have cocktails for the younger Generation. A...Place to feel like Home. To come again after work

Excellent tarte flambee and some other little stuff. Wines are old fashion french style, loves of oversee wine will hate this nearky bitter stuff, however, you can switch to Belgian beers from the tap which are quite recommendable. The owner himself is edgy, unfriendly guy,...better to ingnore his presence

I just love the food and the athmosphere. Besides the great food with a menu that has different specialities at a different time of the year. Besides that there is good belgian beer. I suggest you try the Eckstein salad dont be foold, it...is not really a salad you get salad and a lot of meat. If you are on a diet you should order a small one

Ich war bereits einige Male im Eckstein und habe sowohl das Essen als auch die Cocktails probiert. Das Kabeljaufilet mit Meeresfrüchten und Safranrisotto hat es mir angetan, sehr leckere Kombi. Entgegen meiner Erwartung, war ich sehr überrascht über die Qualität der Cocktails. Der Gin Basil Smash sah nicht nur top aus, sondern könnte auch geschmacklich mit jeder renommierten Cocktailbar mit halten. Für mich jederzeit ein Besuch wert.

We went there with a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday. On a Saturday night, it was not very crowded and so the atmosphere in the highceiling restaurant reminded me a bit of a train station. The service was ok, though some of...them where close to rude. In addition, the food was simply average and came at very different times, so that part of the group was nearly finished while others just got their food! To wrap it up: the service and the quality of the food do not justify the prices! Will not go again
