Since then the local opening as a möwenpick in the 70s I was regularly and later 1-2 times to visit in this restaurant/café during my ulmer time. the edwins has a completely different ambiente: more modern and cooler.The location has remained the same: the view of the city ulm is gigantic. the service was very friendly.In the pasta dishes, it was too difficult that the pasta were unfortunately cooked. on the other hand, the grill was crisp and tasted very well.

we had a business meeting. the edwins lies directly on the donau with a view of the ulmer münster. the restaurant belongs to the hotel golden tulip. entering the house first noticed that everything has come a bit into the years. with the greeting was something appreciated and restaurant is a little hard to reach, especially if you are not good to foot. the menu is very varied and also the map is somewhat inconvenient. you get a simple 3-1 courses eat for under 19 €, but you should not expect any highlights. it tastes okay, but it doesn't. the service is somewhat uncoordinated and unfortunately forgets the half. the appetizer came only after demand and the ordered water when we actually wante...

I've had breakfast at Edwins several times and dinner a couple of times. The ambience is really lovely. Service is always professional, but some staff are definitely more friendly than others!There is a very good selection for the breakfast buffet, but unless you are a big eater in the morning, the price is quite high (about 18 EUR, if I recall correctly), so if you are staying at the attached hotel and are a light eater it's probably worth your while to check out some other breakfast options.For dinner, however, I find the prices to be much more reasonable.
