"We chose this restaurant for a casual family dinner fully realizing that a Greek restaurant with a hundred tables probably wasn't going to deliver Michelin star level gourmet meals. Turns out the reality was even more grim in our party of five, everyone was...utterly disappointed. First, the waiter had communication issues and needed another waiter to help him understand our native German speakers. The beverages arrived some time after the salads, which itself was nearly devoid of any dressing. The beer was warm, and any attempts to order more drinks were consistently ignored and we were there for quite some time due to the slowness of the operation. At some point, plates of a dry, shriveled meat/fat combination arrived, and I was advised that some of my mine was missing, to be delivered later. It in fact arrived about a half hour later, after everyone was done. By then, nobody at the table was interested in any more of their food, which judging by other people's plates isn't really meant to be finished anyway. Next, my mom offered to pay, which is easier said than done at El Greco. Even she, who never breaks any rules, was contemplating to just get up and leave after the waiter failed to show up with the check for an extended period of time. She finally went to track down the manager, who could not have cared less about her feedback. So, if you are in the mood for Greek food, pretty much anywhere else will be a better choice!"

my family and I were shocked how they treated us in the restaurant. all were super unfriendly. eating was really good. but I don't think I'm going to visit the restaurant a second time, I'd rather have my money for. a beautiful atmosphere good eating

Went there last night, with a couple of friends and kids,the garden was very nice and well maintained. There was a nice playground for the kids which also enjoyed it a lot. The place was full, people never stopped coming in. It a very enjoyable...visit and will definitely do it again. Regarding the food, we ordered traditional Greek food which was nice, and the beers of course which were great. Would definitely recommend. View menu

This evening, I was there with friends. I wasn't in the mood for meat and cheese... I wanted something light, so I decided for spaghetti with fresh tomato and olive oil. First, there was mess with order, clumsy service, and than I finally got...spaghetti, insted of light colorful plate, I got spaghetti (almost al dente) with some brown stuff, that used to be tomato sauce probably stashed fiew years ago at fidge, so spicy... and olive oil, maybe there was one drop, just maybe... My dear owner of the place, and little orders are the one that counts too.

el greco has become a regular hunt in recent years. my man and I always come back when we want a good quality, fresh Greek food that is reasonably expensive. this always comes with a warm, friendly service, even if they really do. eating is always from a consistently good standard, especially the calamari, which is the best thing I had removed from the sea in Greece (and from the huge selection of Greek restaurants in the little ones we have tried). after the renovation of their garden area last year they now have a magnificent space for summer food, and still have this very cozy interior for when the gray days and winter set. there are other excellent Greek restaurants in Munich, but if the...
