"After having made a rather long trek across both sides of the Hollernzollern bridge it was time to find a place to sit down and have a beer. Well, this place was the first place that we came across when we began our walk along the Rhine. Apparently, according to the sign, this place dates back to the 12 Century, though they claim it was a guesthouse back then (which means they probably still sold beer). Anyway, like many of the pubs (or Brauhauser) they will tell you to go and take a seat and they will come and serve you (which is a little odd in my mind since table service is actually quite rare in Australia). Still, the staff are friendly, the beer is cheap, and there are some awesome views of the Rhine."

The first goose of the season. Very delicious, crispy and lovingly garnished. Not recommended

Right spot to experience local dishes other than wurst and potatoes. There are 3 special course, goose dishes are mostly preferred, just salads and soup is served for vegeterians. Service is exellent.

Thank you for a wonderful goose evening to go. We could not imagine that the extra house menu is so perfect. Only one goose tastes better: the ones that we hope will enjoy next year again in the cradle itself.

The place is obviously very popular and is a typical German restaurant. Despite a very very busy night (I don't think I have ever seen so many goose carved at tables before ) the service and food was good and we had a good relaxing night and never rushed. View menu

We ate at this restaurant with 14 people on a rainy day for lunch. The interior is cute and very friendly so was the service and I must admit the food was very delicious. Would recommend this restaurant, the view is nice and you are close to the boats if you want to do a small river cruise.

I would like to give them more stars but I don’t know well the place. The location next to the river and other monuments is very good, also very lucky with the weather and I have took a table outside. The beer and food good,...and the price even better, not expensive at all for the location.

Great spot, by the river. The tables outside are quite communal, but good service, friendly and the food was excellent -typical German tavern food, but still highly recommended. And the interior is worth looking at for all the political memorabilia. The menu is a work...of art in itself, very humourous and a good conversation opener. View menu

Came across this restaurant which attracted us as it sold Bitburger beer. Sat outside and ordered two beers and some Nüremburg sausages for lunch. Unfortunately after 10 minutes nothing had arrived, and as my wife looked around the waiter tactics head as he had completely...forgotten about us. Sometime later drink and food did arrive and was fairly good. What did amuse me is the waiter scrabbling around in his purse to find change for almost a minute because he wanted a tip. I do wonder why they expect a tip for poor service

We were wondering around for forty minutes or so and came across this restaurant from the rear rather than from the front overlooking the Rhine mainly because it looked like an old and very traditional German eatery. When we entered we were not disappointed, very old but also quint. Strait away we were given a choice of tables and seated. Our waiter took the drinks order and then came back for the food order after giving us a few minutes to have a good look at the menu. The food came in good time and I can honestly say that the steak that I had was lovely well cooked and just right. The restaurant has a great old world atmosphere. All three of us enjoyed are visit.

"In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
