"eating is delicious and the cook, owners and team know what they do. this can be the best restaurant in chipping barnet at this time. I have dined some paintings and never disappointed. Last time I had the grilled. lachs with lemongrass minz erdnusss, with sticky cocose rice and it was delicious: the rich butter aromas of the grilled salmon and eddies that cing against the bed freshly picked crickets, including mint that it was served. the sticky cocose rice perfumed, but not too sweet or forward, a good foil for richer aromas, while it is delicious and satisfying by itself. the green tea ice cream is also delicious: an adult aroma, not too sweet but interesting, and moreish. the restaurant is well equipped and comfortable. it's worth a visit."

I have visited the predecessor to this restaurant, Enchai, for many years was pleased to see this restaurant is also excellent. The menu was diverse, well priced and good service. Flexible choices for vegetarian and meat eaters. Recommended.

a beautiful Thai restaurant. a real gem. fresh ingredients, delicious fish and a good selection of vegetarian and vegan foods. home made gloomy and ice/sorbs. I'm looking for a return. a real tasty bite if they really eat good quality at a reasonable price...price

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, comparable to the quality I would expect from a high-end Thai restaurant in central London. I am surprised that they are not more popular, as there are few good restaurants in Barnet. I am writing this review in the hope that they continue to thrive so I can return again and again.

We opted for the set menu at this restaurant because the food sounded appealing and it did not disappoint. The meal came with a vegetable side, but we decided to order an additional one (broccoli with soy sauce). The portions turned out to be quite generous, so we probably didn't need the extra side. We will definitely be returning in the future.

there for dinner with my friend, while at celebrations from Australia, was disgusting when we saw a huge bald waiter working there to pick up his face hair, eat very expensive and terrible tasting. drinks were 3 pounds each..empty restaurant without customers and very sparse...decor..When we go to Great Britain, we will never go to this place again.huge disappointment. We are very local to this venue and visited it regularly when it was Emchai with the wonderful Singh front of house. It has gone through many changes since (this was our first visit since Singh’s family moved on). It is certainly back on track...with regards to the excellent Eastern fusion dishes it offers. I booked our table 20 mins or so before arrival, sadly there were not many other tables occupied. Please go and eat there the food is delicious, cooked with passion and presented beautifully. The more diners, the more popular it will become and the chances of it being around for many more years to come.

In the past 5 years, we have visited this restaurant several times and it appears to have declined in quality. When I first dined at Emchai, the food was amazing - the appetizers were excellent, hot, and fresh, and the main course was well-cooked and flavorful. Now, it seems like they have started cutting corners. The appetizer plate tastes as if it was frozen and simply reheated, and the main course, such as the beef and black bean sauce, was chewy and overcooked. The service was lacking as well, as there did not seem to be enough staff. It seems to me that they have changed chefs over the years, leading to a decline in quality.

"I thought I should write a review for sofalino, 2 wonderful evenings spent there over the last month, once for my birthday meal with family, and then again a few nights to dinner with my sister. I've been here since its opening 5 years ago, and it's one of my favorite in north london. the food I had eaten at my birthday dinner was undoubtedly the finest food I had tasted since my vacation in italy in the last summer. after having enjoyed the soft, velvety brot and plump juicy oliven, I shared the antipasto for 2 with my sister for the starter and went for the cow mouse for the pornstar. the antipasto is fantastic; it contains prosciutto, salami, mortadella and breesaola for the cultivated meat, roasted aubergine, courgette and red paprika for the vege and is served on many rockets with circustomates, artichokes and black olives. but the absolute high points of the plate were the buffalo bocconcini, deep roasted valleyggio in the brothcrümeln and gorgonzola arancini. so many beautiful aromas to enjoy, and this is only in the starter! the kalbsmilanese was crooked and fritted to perfection, and was huge! my vater, mama and I decided to go with gorgonzola and spinat gnocchi, instead of the standard linguine napoletana, which to potentially one of the best main courses I have ever eaten outside italian. other dishes that are worth mentioning from this night are the pappardelle with venison and porcini mushrooms, and the gnocchi alla sorrentina. when it was my birthday, they had made me a stunning chocolate cake with fresh strawberries, which covered the meal nicely. for my meal last night I had the antipasto, of course, but this time the arancini even better was the last time she had saffron in, which is possibly my favorite last thing. I had the calzone for the main course, which was simply delicious with a lot of ham and mushroom filling and a nice teigy but crispy crust. I went to dessert the day for pudding, completely forget my clients quickly from no cake / sweet tasty things, but it was totally worth because my huuuge disc birne, mandel and ricota tart was from the top drawer; my sister had only one bit of the baked crust and she still talked about how incredible it was the next day! sofalino also has a very high quality wine list; the primitivo 'il pumo ' is a personal favorite of our, with its dark, smooth, laumen intense taste. at both of these locations the restaurant was full and flowering, and the personal friendly and attentive; just what they want from an Italian restaurant. without doubt, I will be back sooner than later."
