"I expected better quality. I ordered a charade and the meat was full of fat. My husband loved his dish: the chef's board with an assortment of specialties. By booking I expected to have a good table but we were in the middle passage between the two rooms. Not bad. The restaurant is noisy. Especially in the first room. I didn't see the second, but it looked quieter. I would need a second experience to confirm that opinion. In the second room with a summer dish. So renew."

First time in this restaurant and great surprise! The dishes are very good. I recommend the chef’s plate, a small mix of good dishes from the north. Special mention also for the wonderful. Add to this an impeccable service, very kind servers and waitress and you will spend a great evening in school.

"my spouse and I traveled to france for the annual day of vimy ridge on april we wanted to find a rustic hotel close and it was on trip advisor that we found this small piece of the sky in the north of...France (my local travel agency was not of any help). I began to communicate with the owner, a few months before our visit. he always gave my emails, the information that helped us plan our trip. we were personally greeted at the arrival and he even greeted me with names! philippe’s employees were so sweet, friendly, gracious and so ready to help! most have done it well with English as we have beaten with our French, it was so much fun. the mealtimes were visually breathtaking, how art and taste was, as if I had not experienced anything. we took most of our meals in the hotel, from the lovely breakfast in the breakfast room to our dinner in the bistro. in our last night we treated ourselves to the restaurant. each of the eight courses that were complete with wein pairing was the ultimate culinary final! all exquisite prepared and presented boards were placed before us, followed by a declaration of what we wanted to enjoy. our room was small but sufficient, equipped with a bar fridge, French coffee machine, bathroom with a whirlpool tub/shower. the bed was comfortable and a small wardrobe was provided. large screen TV with an English channel. parking was never a problem and no fee. wifi was offered. I have already recommended this charming hotel to others and we will stay there again. seclin is a short hour and a half from the airport charles de Gaulle and the trip is easy. the surrounding places are a opportunity to experience frankly and his history on non-tourist wise. belgien is just a few minutes away and makes a wonderful day trip. we also made a day trip and visited the stairs, dunkirk, normandie and juno beach. I found that to be the best trip to France, loved it more here than in paris!"

"We took advantage of a good gift to resound the experience of the Auberge du Forgeron that we had already tested last year in September. A 4-stroke ride, caviar of lentils, carpaccio Saint-Jacques, pig breast cooked for 17h, perfect chicory glazed speculos. The potiron cappuccino served in mouth amuse was simply delicious to redo at home if possible! ( Chef’s secret: curry, orange juice and coconut milk). Flips the eye of successful caviar, a true talent for seasonings, associations like the saint-jacques mango passion, the purée carottes-ananas... a conductive line throughout the meal around spices... Little disappointments as to sweetness, a perfect so glazed that it was difficult to "cut", in excess of sugar for me, a biscuit too sweet, speculos and caramel too strong in sugar, regret not to find more chicory for its bitterness. A few drops of caramel would have been enough. The small furnaces that accompany the coffee were all unreplaced without exception, it is a pity; The macaron exploded between our fingers, a little duck just out of the oven would have been enough. The display tree was more attractive than its content. A smiling team, very kind, a smiling Chef, available in the room... of the table arts in improvement... We spent a great time at the Auberge du Forgeron. Thank you also to Matthew and Mathilde for this gift"
