"I have to say I was left disappointed with Grind overall. I personally had a lovely meal (squid, followed by cauliflower and the carrot side) and also a nice espresso martini. I do feel, though, that the mains were fairly expensive despite not having sides included. One of the starters came out cold and we had to wait for another. I chose this restaurant because of the many gluten free options available and one of my friends is severely allergic. There was only 1 GF starter which was ordered and she confirmed that she is allergic to gluten to the waitress. A short time later, my friend was told that actually the starter is not actually GF as part of it is cooked in oil where gluten products are prepared. This was disappointing and instead of being offered a compromise (which I'm sure could have been arranged), my friend sat there and had to watch the rest of us eat our starters with nothing to eat. My friend said that this is becoming a problem as she has been coming across restaurants labelling foods as GF for people who are after the GF lifestyle but when it comes to those who are intolerant, it means they cannot eat anything for fear of a severe reaction. Despite being early in the evening, the toilets were also really messy with toilet paper all over the floor. The positive that came out of this evening was the service. The staff were so friendly and lovely. Also the hot apple crumble, that was delicious!"

Love coming here on weekends for brunch. Delicious food and helpful staff! The avo toast is my favorite along with the carrot/ginger juice.

Good coffee and the food isn't bad typical Exmouth Market fodder, smashed avocado etc. Lively atmosphere and nice outdoor area but the service is a little slow

good food, good coffee, good drinks, good brunch, good service, good casual vibe all for a decent price. shorts and sandal acceptable. avocado toast with policing iron was delicious.

great place for Sunday brunch. we had the delicious wild mushroom, hash and more noble, which I can recommend. friendly staff and good coffee made it a completely pleasant experience, and I will definitely taste more of the menu.

Great Instagram-worthy café. The place is really nice, food is good and the turmeric latte was excellent. Service was great, very attentive staff. We had the pancakes and the avocado smash. I thought the prices were rather steep, as well as the 12% service fee. Nonetheless, it was a nice culinary experience.

Neither disappointed nor impressed. Decor is great, staff was friendly, good menu and prices were also okay. Dish I chose (One Pan Egg) wasn't that great... Egg white was slightly undercooked and hence a bit watery, tomato not seasoned enough and there was hardly any chorizo in it. Bread was put directly on the pan which made it soggy...all in all not what I expected. My girlfriend's dish (Sweet potato harisa cake) was very good though, so I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and might come again.

I came here for a birthday brunch and while the food was nice, I don't think we'll be returning. The service was a bit slow and there was no sign that they had read my booking notes saying that this was for a birthday and could we have a nice table. No one made mention of my partner's birthday and we were sat on a standard table between walk-in diners (I had hoped for one by the window). Nevertheless, the food was good. I had the spicy baked eggs and my partner had the full English. We paid £15 each for bottomless prosecco for 90mins, which was great value, and we left full and content.
