"We stayed at the Messina marina overnight, and was tired after our sail so decided to walk across to dine at our ‘local’. What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was! We were a group of 4, and had 2 vegetarians but they accommodated us and created a superb vegetarian 8 course tasting menu just for our party, it looked even better than our 8 course seafood menu, and the vegetarians were blown away by the flavours! Everything tasted divine and tantalising ... we were all ooohing and ahhing ... and the cannoli at the end — omg. Chef finally came out at our request, and after my ooohing, gifted us cannoli to bring home. Truly a 5-star experience!!"

"Looking for a traditional restaurant in Messina we thought we had found it. Situated a short walk from the main plaza, the menu looked authentic. Initially the service was good, we were shown to a table and given a menu and then told to check the QR code why do restaurants do this???? We ordered and meanwhile 3 or 4 more guests arrived. Our first course arrived some 20 minutes later, mussels in a tomato garlic jus. Very tasty and enough for us to share. The restaurant seemed to be a place for hanger ons to meet, two of the tables being occupied by non paying guests. The owners(? were chatting to friends whilst the one waiter was there to satisfy the paying guests needs. After 30/40 minutes the main arrived, though we ordered from the Primo menu. My partner’s spaghetti was undercooked, not al dente. My ravioli was thick pasta with a small filling in the middle. The sauce was bland. For 52 euros i was disappointed, though I have found restaurant prices over the last two weeks in Italy to be higher than last year and a lack of daily specials."

"The place and food are not bad but THE STAFF??? Very unprofessional: we arrived and our table was not ready. After few minutes a guy start to shout from the balcony that our table was ready... nice food even they forgot the kid order, the staff doesn't know how to smile,how to great the customers and serve the food (pushing you just to put the food on the table). Very disappointing i think they need to improve their customer services!"
