"Wow! I wish this was my local! We were staying locally and booked in advance advising that two of our six had physical disabilities. From the start we were made so welcome. Ramps were there for a wheelchair and our table was well lit for our friend with limited sight. The menu was as stated on the website and the specials were excellent we tried the sea bass and the individual chicken pies. Our prawn cocktails were lovely and the local trout pate was delicious. The fish and chips and the Mediterranean tart went down well. We also gave a big thumbs up to the bread and really nicely cooked chips and veg. The portions were generous and we didn’t have room for anything other than icecream. A big thank you to Barry and his team. We will certainly return again when in this area."

The quick lunch at this restaurant was excellent, and the doorstep sandwiches were just as satisfying! It was nice to see the pub bustling with both diners and drinkers on a Monday afternoon.

I was really in the mood for a roast after a busy morning, and I'm glad we decided to stop by this restaurant. The prices were reasonable, and the roast potatoes were some of the best I've had in a long time. The lamb and other vegetables were also delicious.

Spontaneous lunch time visit for my husband and I. Lovely warm welcome, sandwiches freshly made to order with good quality ingredients and nice service. They are a busy pub which is a great sign, if you have to wait a wee while, it is so worth it! Good pubs deserve patience, they do the very best that they can! We loved it.

We spent our friend's birthday weekend here, and had a marvellous time. Rooms beautifully appointed and comfortable, food excellent. Hosts Barry and llse couldn't do enough for us. Even ran members of our party back to Sturminster Newton both nights. We left feeling we were leaving friends behind. Thank you to all staff for making it such a lovely occasion. Hope to see you in the summer.

I met a friend for lunch on Thursday 7th September, it was a warm, sunny day so we ate in the garden. We ordered a round of sandwichs each but were told these would take at least half an hour. By the time they eventually arrived up it was nearer 35 minutes. The sandwiches themselves were quite good but having to wait that long is wholly unacceptable. Therefore my advice to those heading towards The Fiddleford Inn for lunch, is to allow plenty of time as service is at best unhurried.

Just back from a lovely Lunch at The Fiddleford Inn. Staff were on top form and also a lovely welcome from the landlord Barrie and landlady Ilze. I have not been for a while but was nice to be recognised. Sunday roasts were impeccably put together and tasted delicious. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff for attentive but not OTT. Relaxed, genuine and happy. It really was a lovely way to spend celebrating family birthdays. Thank you to all the staff for a top notch meal and hospitality. 10/10!!

We went in the garden for our lunch. There was a busy noisy road running alongside. Fabulous chips with tuna mayo sandwich. The bread seemed a bit stale around the edges (or dry) which was a shame as the rest of it was nice. Waitress bought out the food and then suggested we could go inside the pub to pick up whatever sauces we wanted. I personally thought she should have asked us what we wanted and brought it out for us. Bit lazy. Don't think we'd go back if we were in the area as no excuse for the bread

The welcome and service could not have been more friendly. The menu was interesting and appealing, with plenty of things I wanted to eat. Starters (salt and pepper squid for me and scallops with black pudding and pea purée for my wife) were exceptional. For main I had chicken kebab with slaw, chips and salad, which was superb. My side order of onion rings was disappointingly oily. My wife’s beetroot and goat cheese salad was unfortunately not a success. Wine was delicious and it was all very reasonably priced. We will certainly be going back.

This pub has a great local feel with friendly and humorous staff. They offer a selection of 7 special main courses on Tuesdays. The pub is cozy with a log fire warming both the front and rear areas. Unfortunately, my beef bourguignon was overcooked and had a lot of gristle, but I still managed to eat it. Despite this, the meal for three main courses, three desserts, coffee, and a bottle of wine cost £89, which I found reasonable. I enjoyed the atmosphere with local regulars joking around with each other. Overall, I would definitely come back to this pub.

"The Museum Inn, located in Farnham, Nr. Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 8DE We booked late on Friday night and only one room was available so it was meant to be! We arrived around 5pm and were greeted by friendly staff, shown to our room The Catch and made a reservation for dinner, luckily they still had spaces for dinner but it is advised to book in advance. Lovely spacious room and bathroom, kettle, teas, coffees and bottled water supplied. I have to say I fell in love with the hand wash and hand cream, I have already purchased some for home, the brand is called Bramley and the scent is Lavender, Geranium and Petitgrain. The bed is probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in that is not our own, soft feather pillows that were just right! Dinner was a three course meal and it was delicious, we took 2 hours to eat but never felt rushed or like we were waiting too long between courses. Starters: Ham hock terrine with sourdough toast and Prawn, potato and crayfish fishcakes. Mains: Burger and Steak Ale pie Desserts: Chocolate Brownie with cherry sorbet. Biscoff donuts with pumpkin pie ice cream Drinks: Poretti lager and Cherry cocktail. Breakfast: Eggs Royale and Smashed avocado, poached egg and bacon, absolutely scrumilicious! Big thanks to Amanda who served us this morning and checked us out. Highly recommend staying and eating here and we will 100% be back again! Safe travels! The Allsebrooks x"
