"Very inexperienced staff who had a bit a bit of an attitude towards customers who seemed to be from a different walk of life,didn't come across as friendly at all,communication skills towards the public in general seemed to be awry and need serious brushing up on.Checked in at 4pm,apparently breakfast is served from 8.30am onwards.We told the young lady who took our payment and gave us the key to our room that our train back home was at 7.58am.In most places we stay at they offer us an alternative (i.e:sandwiches to take away with us)but not here,this should have been within our rights as breakfast is included in the price.I noticed that she seemed very quick to offer us an evening meal as to what would have been the alternative,which would have meant that we would have to pay a considerable amount for.I do not rate this hotel,and as said before the management and also the other staff who work there need to take a good look at themselves."

"Haven't had chance to try food due to shocking customer service.. 1st time we visited we were told in no uncertain terms they were not serving food, asked for a black coffee. Not serving coffee.. large coffee machine at the end of the bar and would honestly have been happy with an instant coffee.. today popped in they'd just opened but want £10 a ticket as they had a jazz quartet on.. at the end of the day we wanted to eat, did not know the band so headed over the road to the Royal Oak.."

"My husband and I always look for somewhere to eat that serves good food and this little café did just that. It was lunchtime, however, my husband had the Scottish breakfast, which completely filled him up for the rest of the day. Freshly cooked, well presented with a jovial side of sarcastic wit from the delightful chap serving behind the counter. Egg, bacon, sausage, tons of mushrooms, beans, haggis, black pudding, toast, and above all, filter coffee, which you can’t really find these days – it usually comes out of a machine. That got an extra star from my husband. I had a tuna fish sandwich, and was happily indulged with red onion on top. This came with a healthy side of coleslaw, a little salad, and a big handful of Doritos style chips. I would have preferred ordinary crisps, but this is just a personal choice. I certainly wouldn’t criticise anybody for this. I had a cappuccino which was served really hot and tasted delicious. We left via the beer garden at the back, having discovered it when I used the bathroom. We will definitely go back for an evening meal and sit outside when the weather allows. As we were heading towards the car park, a couple asked us for directions and we pointed them towards the beach via this café. I hope they took us up on our suggestion."

"Sorry about the title but it appears that some very sad individuals are out to write bad reviews of this establishment because she's banned our two spineless local MPs. If and when you visit this pub, you'll find the staff warm and friendly, and when...they did meals, they were outstanding! They'll be back soon hopefully. Also, you'll find the locals friendly and we don't bite. And the juke box has nothing beyond ideal for us oldies! Give it a visit, you'll be surprised!"

"We absolutely loved our meal here the food was truly excellent! It was a quieter night with no live music when we went but I can imagine the atmosphere would have been amazing on one of their live music evenings! We started with sourdough bread, balsamic dip and olives and they were all really tasty. The bread tasted really, really fresh. For mains we had chicken saffron and beef baked in a yoghurt, ginger and pepper sauce. Both dishes were absolutely delicious the meat was so tender and the sauces were packed full of flavor. The highlight however was the desserts chocolate fondant torte and a raspberry and hazelnut meringue gateaux. The combination of fresh raspberries and Chantilly cream alongside the hazelnut meringue was such a great way to finish off the meal...I think I'd walk back to Pembrokeshire for another bite!!! The staff were friendly and efficient and made the final night of our Welsh holiday a really lovely one! We'd definitely be back for more if we were in the area again."
