"We tried Four Counties Spice for the first time and were excited based on the positive reviews. However, we were very disappointed. When ordering over the phone, they were unaware of the usual dips that come with popadoms. Unlike other Indian restaurants we have been to, the meal only included thickly chopped onions and a flavorless, watery yogurt dip. The onion bhajis were dry and inedible, and the prawn on puree lacked flavor. The chicken tikka balti and chicken tikka biryani were both bland and unappetizing. We always order the same dishes when trying a new Indian restaurant, but due to this bad experience, we will not be ordering from Four Counties Spice again."

Had a lovely meal with friends. Prices are very reasonable and food was very tasty. Service was paced just right. Made extra special by staff member Kam and his fabulous sense of humour.

Food is always amazing, never once had a problem both eating in or take-away. Staff are so friendly and attentive, couldn't be more polite or helpful. I love this place for Indian food, never disappoints. View menu

First meal out after lockdown would not be anywhere else. Quality of food is always excellent, friendly staff. May pay slightly more but well worth it. If you like really hot, just ask them to spice it up nothing is ever a problem. Nice crisp cold Cobra on tap also.

Only just getting a chance to review experiences and post my 2019 photos !Never disappointed when I go to this restaurant. It’s small, we all sit tight and close to each other, but you can’t fault the food !Definitely one I’d recommend as a break off the M42 or just because.

We booked here and got a table on the day, which was lucky. The gentleman greeted us and showed us to our table. The service was quick and very professional. We had a good laugh with the man, and he really did make the evening wonderful. The food was delicious, it was faultless. Would highly recommend. View menu

I just read a one-star review from Pathfinder on this website and I can't believe they are talking about the same restaurant. We have eaten many meals there and have continued to use their takeaway service during Covid restrictions. My daughter loves the onion bhajis from there, and all of our curries have been very tasty. If the food is as bland as they claim, then why is the restaurant always so busy?

The food was truly exceptional - the best Indian cuisine I have had in years. The chicken was cooked perfectly, with large, tender chunks of great quality meat. My partner enjoyed the lamb dish as well. As a self-proclaimed sheek kebab enthusiast, I can confidently say that this was the best I've had in years. Additionally, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, I will definitely be returning to this restaurant without hesitation.

"Wow, what an amazing place for gluten-free food! This fish and chip shop is incredible, with exceptional customer service. My friend and I took our children to Drayton Manor last Saturday, and ended up staying later than planned. On our way home, we needed to find something to eat for both the kids and us, but since we are both gluten-free (coeliac), we knew it would be a challenge. I decided to search before leaving the park and found Oceans in Tamworth. It was only 8 minutes away and on the way to Nottingham, so we decided to give it a try. Despite getting a bit lost, we eventually found Oceans in a small shopping area and parked our car. When I asked if they still made gluten-free food, I was surprised by the owner's enthusiastic response. He was incredibly helpful and showed us their wide range of gluten-free options, as they had been making gluten-free food for 18 years. He provided me with a menu that included not only fish and chips, but also other delicious items like gravy, onion rings, lemon pepper fish, etc. He also showed me how they keep all gluten-free ingredients separate and clearly marked in the kitchen. While waiting for our order to be freshly cooked, he even gave us a sample of chips and gravy to try. The food was incredibly delicious, and it was the first time I had enjoyed fish and chips in 10 years! He also treated us to a taste of the delicious lemon pepper cod. As coeliacs, my friend and I also received a free bottle of gluten-free chip vinegar. I ordered a large cod and chips with gravy (which was so good that I wished I had just ordered that instead), and got a child's portion for my son."
