"We were in Kassel for Documenta and called just a few hours before to ask for our reservation. They said they were full but that we should just come and they would try to fit us in. When we arrived there was no room for us, so we stood at the bar and ordered a wine. Before the wine even arrived a very friendly local couple invited us to join their table (they were seated a table for 4). We were served by friendly staff - we ordered a bottle of red, a wooden-oven pizza and a salad. The pizza was excellent, the wine very good and the salad mediocre. We had an excellent time with our new friends and shared a very good meal. I would definitely go back for the pizza."

We had a lovely dinner at Fratelli - looking over the Documenta venue the Parthenon of books. The food was lovely and service very friendly. Not really cheap, but well worth it!
