Cuisine locale et copieuse, ambiance typique, service appréciable, prix très abordables: je recommande vivement ce restaurant pour tous les visiteurs qui souhaitent découvrir une gastronomie allemande authentique!

Sehr gute Bürgerliche Küche, Service ausgezeichnet . Auch gibt es eine extra Räumlichkeit für Familienfeiern. Die Auswahl an Speisen sind Übersichtlich .Hinweis nach meiner Einschätzung ,Hunde gehören nicht in ein Speiselokal !

Stumbled across this place whilst waking around town, delighted we did. Great service, being new to Germany it was a surprise our meal included a pre-main salad. Nice local beers and the main course was huge! Excellent value for money. View menu

Restaurant was close to hotel. Limited menu, fair to average quality. Asked for some vegetables to go along with the entree, and I was told that was the salad. I offered to pay for the vegetables, but they did not have any. Would not go back unless I was on a very tight budget.

Netter Service, große Portionen, schmackhaftes Essen und tolle Schnitzelvariationen. Wir hatten das Hessische und das Frankfurter Schnitzel jeweils mit Bratkartoffeln und Beilagensalat. Es hat gut geschmeckt und es waren große Portionen. Gerne mal wieder. Der Speiseraum ist für meinen Geschmack etwas zu dunkel.

Unbedingte Reservierung erforderlich,sehr schmackhafte Deutsche Küche, es hat alles was mit "Kartoffel" zu tun :-)Sehr lecker unter anderem : Lachs mit Kartoffelpannekuche und das bereits erwähnte Madagaskarschnitzel mit braunen, knusprigen Bratkartoffeln. Bisher gab es nichts, was uns nicht geschmeckt hat. Für Feierlichkeiten gibt es einen Nebenraum.Jederzeit wieder. Ach, Jan hat was :-) View menu

A local friend took us here so I had no preconceived ideas about where we were going for dinner.It may look a bit stade / old from the outside but the very warm welcome we received with typical German humour was a welcome relief!The menu is huge and I'd recommend having someone who knows German with you to help understand the offerings. Food came out fairly quickly and I wasn't disappointed. Tasty and with a local beer was very nice and quite filling. Price was no surprise and I'd definitely come back here. If your looking for traditional German food this is a good choice!

Ich gehe mit meiner Familie eigentlich jedes mal in die Kartoffelstubb, wenn wir in/bei Frankfurt sind.Hier bekommt man gute Hausmannskost und auch eher unbekannte Kartoffelkreationen. Die Speisen sind vielfältig und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Die Zubereitung erfolgt schnell und gut abgeschmeckt.Der Service ist auch immer sehr gut. Selbst wenn die Gastwirtschaft gut ausgebucht ist.Einzig die Atmosphäre gefällt mir mittlerweile nicht mehr so gut. Etwas angestaubte Inneneinrichtung, leicht muffig.Das gute Essen und der Service rechtfertigt aber nachwievor immer wieder einen Besuch.Wir haben für diesen Monat auch wieder eine Reservierung in der Kartoffelstubb.Immer wieder gern!

Well found this place on the main street and were intrigued as it's called a potato house, so checked it out on the internet and it looked fantastic, the menu is comprehensive and all prices are low!So no reservation just rocked up @ 20:00 on a Wednesday evening and the place was full! But Fred found us a table, WOW a warm welcome a GREAT Weiss bier too. Scanned the menu and selected a Mexican Schnitzel & Holstein Schnitzel. Done. Salad arrived fresh and crunchy! Then the main course WOW so big and so good, home cooking at it's best! served in a steel pan so stayed hot, flavours were amazing!
