"We tripped over the Gaffelhaus as soon as we stepped outside our hotel, the Maritim Proart , since it is right next door. It has an unprepossessing frontage, sporting perhaps only 9 small tables outside, but the interior is immense, resembling a Munich bierhalle. The only thing then missing is the full litre beer glasses and the stammtisch! Everything else is the same, except it's not Munich that's celebrated, but Cologne! The beer is good and, along with the wine, is at a reasonable price, particularly for central Berlin. The food is substantial and of a good home-cooking type quality. Most importantly, the prices are sensible and a meal for 2, including 3 large beers and a glass of wine, comes in at about 35 Euros. The service is typically Berlin, ie friendly, welcoming and efficient. An outstanding, cheaper alternative to the hotel!"

We visited this restaurant in order to drink beer. The design was nice, the staff was nice, we could not say anything about the kitchen. Price perceptible.

Enjoyed our food quite a bit, and also liked the beers. Our waitress was very friendly and took time to explain a few things to us. A nice stop for a Kolsch! View menu

good celiac and very good eating served by a very friendly service. funny spruks in a wooden dialect on the walls with helpful, funny translations in postcard format to take along. is worth a detour from the hectic of the friedrichstraße.

Craft beer (brewed on site) and amazing Traditional German fare that didn't break the bank. 2 people: starter, sausage & sauerkraut main course, 5 beers, 2 large bottles of water & a pudding for €52.15. Friendly efficient multi lingual service - I'd definitely come back. View menu

who knows how to make the gaffel in berlin. it comes very close to the carnival orginal, actually I only lack the cordy babe that runs around with a nem wreath. very much we would like to be able to fox or welcome a brewhouse from the uerigen in berlin. Nevertheless, we will often have to return here because soouo tasty. Rhenish culture ever.

The Gaffel Haus Berlin was only a few blocks from our hotel so we gave it a try for dinner. Gaffel beer is brewed in Cologne and, in my opinion, is one of the best beers in Germany. The food was excellent but the service was even better. I wish I could remember the waitress's name because she made the meal a memorable dining experience. We were going to visit the restaurant a second time but it was closed on Sunday. However, we were able to visit the Gaffel Haus in Cologne and were just as impressed.
