"I've visted Gare Aux Gorilles twice, first for Christmas business lunch, and then for a date with my husband. This restaurant is a modern French bistro, with unpretentious Parisian atmosphere, where you'll be served light, fresh and delicious dishes paired with wine by a very nice and knowleadgeable sommelier, who speaks excellent English. Owners at Gare Aux Gorilles love natural wines and their quite long wine list defnitely shows it. It's recommended to order around 3 small plates per person or a bigger meat dish to share. Their menu changes quite often - me and my husband ordered charcuterie (great chorizo), dorade (excellent!), raw beef dish, duck hearts, shredded, roasted potatoes, wonderful cheeses and a dessert to share, and we left very satisfied. The staff is attentive and very nice, and believe me when I say that it's not as common in Paris as one would wish.Overall, great French dining experience in a cozy restaurant."

The food and flavors are magnified by the simplicity of the decor. It is refreshing to see a renewel of talent and atmosphere close to NY' SoHo.

Nice to share tapas with friends or couple, great team, great service .a bit noisy because of Its configuration,,narrow .carte of desserts should be more important (only two choicces )

Great experience at Gare Aux Gorilles. The food was very good and the atmosphere very Parisian. The wine list is very impressive. Note that the menu is limited at lunch time (with usualy 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 deserts), but the diner menu is a la carte, so much more broad.

Really fun menu with a selection of small-medium plates meant for sharing. There is a selection of charcuterie, fish plates, meats and desserts, so you'll find something for anyone here. If i remember correctly some of the plates were larger as well. The service was friendly and efficient and the price was quite good.

This was my best meal in Paris. The food highlights the ingredients. Simple, yet, very sophisticated. I had the beef with a wine sauce and potatoes, a delightful cream and fish appetizer with edible flowers, and a selection of basque charcuterie. Get reservations as this place is very, very popular (and for good reason)!

I was not expecting anything special from this small bistro owed by the chef and the owner of the Laiterie Sainte Clotilde. Wowww. What a great surprise. We tried the 5 course menu (34€) and we were not disappointed. Everything was simply delicious. Original dishes with traditional and classic ingredients. Just perfect. The atmosphere was casual with a fast and friendly service

I looked forward to this bistro based on TA and Paris by Mouth. Industrial vibe and as a result quite noisy as it filled up by mainly locals.Could not justify a main plate as designed for two diners to share.Ordered the duck terrine, a raw veal dish, a lamb dish and roasted potato. The duck terrine was fantastic and the dish of the night. The veal tartare was pleasant particularly combined with the anchovy cream. The lamb was crunchy resulting in great textural components. The potato done more as a rosti. The Fleury champagne was pleasant as was the Italian red by the glass.Would go again just for the terrine but overall pleasant and much more enjoyed my dinner at Semilla.

I've been here several times and it has never disappointed. Cool, stylish but with food to match. There are generally just two plats, which serve two people, and many more petit plats, all presented with care. Never able to agree on the large dish (vegetarians can be difficult) we've gone for the smaller ones, of which veal cru ( tartare) outstanding and ravioli de potimarron (squash ravioli) satisfying even to the meat eaters. Fish dishes exceptional. Wine list, all organic and therefore forget the Bordeaux, very good. Service ditto. Only sadness is the restaurant has stopped opening over the weekend, because, I understand, French labour laws make it prohibitively expensive to do so. Maybe...

We were invited by friends for lunch to this "restaurant de quartier".The decor has a trendy modern rustic feel to it.The service is really friendly and enthusiastic about the food. Our waiter was very helpful in helping us to match the food with the right wine. The lunch menu offered a choice of two starters, main and deserts, an excellent sign that the ingredients will be fresh and good. Our food was simple, very nicely cooked and delicious; I would describe the style as modern rustic French. The portions were spot on for lunch. If I was being picky, I would say the flavours could do with more intensity (perhaps under seasoned ?), but delicious nevertheless. If I was after a nice, but not a...
