"I always make a point to eat here when I am in the opposite, as it is not only the most beautiful eating in the opposite, but also the most friendly. this time I had to fight through some of the worst snow I had ever seen to reach it, but it was worth it. very traditional, lots of natural wood, very warm and comfortable with a fenced terrace that overlooks the landscape with a weak hauch of wood smoke in the air, what could you ask more? the food was great, I had the hunters goulash with dumplings and could not end it by the sheer size of the portion. I usually go for the schnitzel cordon bleu, which I also fight to end. the workers struggle with English, but really the effort to understand with good humor and much laugh. a former critic critic critic criticized the place for a German menu and personal that could not speak English. duh! with something geduld and endurance they can get exactly what they want. I think it's absolutely great."

we had a great lunch today, both had wine carvings that were super, huge portions and nicely cooked. Eating and drinks were cheap, helpful staff and a nice day sitting on the deck. a visit

We took the cable car, the Obersalzbergbahn to reach the restaurant, then 60 metre walk and a place on the terrace over looking the mountains. Local beer. Only had a light lunch but this was very good. Useful menu, something for everybody. Also has rooms...and could be a useful place to stop and visit Obersalzberg about the Nazi Dictatorship.

If you are in the area, this is the place you will not miss! Big Schnitzels in a lot of varieties are accompanied by a stunning view. The servings are really big so make sure you have been on a hiking tour before ; ....The menu also includes great fresh salads, if someone does not like Schnitzels. So there should be something for everyone. They serve not only beer, but great Austrian wine. The service is outstanding friendly. You really get good value for your money. View menu

We were in the Obersalzberg in January 2017 and wanted to dine down the street, but due to a broken leg that one of our party had, we elected to eat at Sonneck as it's at street level on Scharitzkehlstraße. We were seated by a...window with a great view, ordered a few beers and looked at the menu. Most in my party were English speakers and had not trouble communicating with the wait staff. The service was prompt and professional. My wife and I split a ham, cheese and onion stuffed schnitzel that was one of the best meals on our trip. Everything about the meal was great and I would not hesitate to return.

The worst experience in our Germany trip, they don't even worth 1 star. I have been travel a lot, never been treat like this before. If you can't read and speak German, here will be your last choice to go. We went there for lunch...today, the waiter couldn't speak English at all, the menu is in German only without any picture. He didn't even try to explain with us, just left us in the restaurant and serve other customers. After 15 mins I went to the kitchen and there's another 2 ladies inside the kitchen, can speak a bit English but she said to me that she had too many customer and has no time to explain the menu, we felt very disrespect and disappointed.

"The inn was one of our goals after we drove Schönau with the support of the RK app in search of further rewarding goals for our week. Following an inspiration, we reserved a table by phone in the afternoon, which proved to be useful as all tables were occupied when we arrived. Cosyly furnished, but atmospheric rather reminiscent of a hall, since the entire hall was hardly divided by partitions or decoration. A very nice, friendly service power, which was constantly on the axle, since it had to operate all tables alone (supported by the boss, but nevertheless: great performance! . So it is also to forgive that I had to explicitly ask for the pumpkin soup, which was praised outside on a table and was not pointed out. It might also be that the menu on the inside, from which there was something left out. On the other hand, I would have been very annoyed if the selection of the place was based on the choice of “ chicken breast, grilled with fresh mushrooms, christian sauce and roasted ink”, and then I got inside, outside in the box, this is the “summer card” and some dishes are no longer available. Well, I had decided otherwise: First the pumpkin soup (3,20 € ), then the “peffer pandl, pork medallions with pepper sauce and cheese congratulates broccoli and croquets” for 15,80 €. “ Pute “Bombay” with pineapple, curry sauce and cheese baked, with rice and salad” (12.80 € was my wife’s choice. The pumpkin soup was ok, maybe even a little too much in quantity, and from the consistency I would have liked it a little firmer, because it was very “liquid”. My pepper puff around a pleasure, lots of sauce as you can see, but just right and nothing left. The Pute Bombay with rice as on the photo in Sauce almost drinking and barely visible, but better soooo, than just a Kleks sauce, which finally leaves the remaining rice dry on the plate. Taste one of the best food this week! Conclusion: also here a recommendation to try out! Only, as already had, Gasthof Bodner also closes at the beginning of November for about 6 weeks."
