"It is interesting to see the range of reviews for this restaurant, from 'best cafe in London' to 'awful service, terrible food and rude staff'. However, I can only speak to my own personal experience, which was not too bad. I visited for breakfast before a busy day on an exhibition stand. I usually go to the busier 'Shandeez' cafe nearby, which is more of a kebab shop but has a decent breakfast and is popular with cabbies. This time, I decided to try Geoge's to see how it compares. The staff member at the till was friendly and polite. I ordered a full breakfast and was given the choice between chips and hash browns, which was a nice touch. Tea/coffee was included with the breakfast, but I opted for orange juice, which was an extra cost. The breakfast arrived quickly and included a generous serving of beans, which was a pleasant surprise. The sausage was the only disappointment, as it seemed to be poor quality. Overall, it was a decent breakfast and a good, honest cafe. I would consider returning as an occasional visitor. If you are in the area, it may be worth checking out."

This restaurant is a traditional English diner with a fantastic menu, affordable prices, and a stunning woman working behind the counter.

George’s cafe was very welcoming the staff were very kind and efficient. The food was amazing, plates were left completely empty. I will recommend this cafe to friends and family.

Petty little owner/customer service. They refused to give tap water to a toddler in order to make the mother buy bottled. Said they ‘weren’t required by law’ to serve tap water. Appalling.

The breakfast at this restaurant was excellent, with superb service and witty banter. It is definitely worth a visit, providing good value for money. Our group of five older gentlemen left very pleased before heading to the car show. We highly recommend it!

Won 't be going back to this cafe after the gentleman who took my order decided that how I had requested my jacket potato to be prepared didn 't matter when it was not presented to me as requested. Also received my drink in a leaky plastic cup whilst the 2 other [non-Black diners] received theirs in a glass container. Such a shame, as previous meals had been enjoyable.

This is a typical English breakfast cafe with very average coffee. If you are looking for a healthy food, this is not your place. They don’t even serve salads. It’s more of a lunch break spot for construction workers. Although the food is prepared fresh and they make sandwiches for you on the spot. If you have to pick a bread go with a big brown bun. Staff is also friendly and accommodating.

I specifically joined TripAdvisor to leave this review. I have never felt more aggrieved. Arrived in London and wanted to have a coffee before moving on. WISHED I HADN’T ORDERED! I was tired and this guy behind the till thinks he is king of London. I have worked with customers and disgusted. Felt I was intruding for god sake. He said we were taking up “too much space”. Really? Couldn’t tell we were tourists? If the coffee wasn’t scalding I would have downed it and moved on. Oh and taking up too much space? The place was EMPTY! I guess the place was only big enough for the owners ego. Based on talk to “locals” it appears the man who was behind the till was called George. Need I say more. I am...
