"Really enjoyed food at the crispy cod today, it was just what we needed. My mum been off her food a little and this definitely helped her appetite, we all had the Hake and it was beautiful. We will be back. If I could give any constructive comments it would just be it was a little bit cold in the restaurant. Note to owner I really think something could be done on your website to promote the DINE IN as it is not that obvious unless you already knew like we did. I can't understand how with such beautiful food being served and we were the only people sitting in, people are missing out. Probably the only other small negative thing would be we couldn't have a hot drink as the drinks machine was broken and they don't own a kettle, I did find that strange, sorry. Will definitely be back though, we wouldn't let that stop us. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"I love this place. They have doorstep bread perfect with their delicious, freshly cooked breakfasts, with something for everyone. I have the slimmers breakfast which is sun free, on slimming world! Result! Their freshly made cakes are unreal, with lemon drizzle, carrot cake and chocolate fudge cake, to name but a few. You can pre book afternoon tea, here (there is seating upstairs, if they’re full downstairs they’re popular and people come from miles around for the friendly greetings and delicious food . They’re making cheesecake filled Easter eggs at the moment and the only disappointment is they aren’t syn free, too! A great range of coffees and milkshakes. My personal (non dieting! favourite is chips with their huuuge slices of bread. My mouth is watering, at the thought! If your calorie intake doesn’t quite stretch to chips, try their jacket potatoes, served with salad they’ll keep you full for a week! (Ok so that’s an exaggeration but they are huge and honestly amazing!"

"Attended for my Daughters Birthday and if I could give zero stars I would. The only decent part of the meal today was leaving, but only after receiving a refund for 4 of our meals after they either didn't turn up or looked inedible! They mixed up orders and at one point even admitted to forgetting parts of our order. My wifes adult macaroni cheese was mixed up with a children's portion see photo of what was received. Safe to say she did not eat this, and it was cold anyway. My Mum ended up having to serve our table herself to avoid food going cold. The chips that did arrive were stone cold. Just Eat orders seem to be your priority rather than the orders received in house. I honestly would not return nor recommend to anyone. If you want an hour long wait, for cold food and zero service then this is the place for you. On a positive note, you do have a few lovely staff members, it's just a shame that's where the good part of the review ends."

"This is our local haunt. Popped in today for Sunday Lunch. To be fair, the meal could have lasted us a week! I had the pork which was tender, tasty and succulent. The ladies had chicken cooked just right. Plenty of veg including potatoes. Now to the gravy. According to my good wife it's the best we have ever had and who am I to argue. The team were polite and attentive and Helen was a charming host. I would highly recommend."

"Had gone yesterday. As lovely as the food was, I was more disappointed in the customer service skills shown. On arrival we didn’t know whether we was to sit down or wait for them to show us to our table. Firstly. Our table wasn’t laid. We had to ask for cutlery and when they gave us cutlery they still failed to hand us napkins. But not the worst thing cause I get it’s a busy environment. We ordered the 3 meal course for 6 pound, starter amazing! Fresh chicken dippers, couldn’t have asked for better. For the meal it was chicken curry and chips. Now I’m not going to complain cause it’s nothing really but. We had to pay an extra pound for rice? When Idk id expect a option for half and half or one or other. But again can’t complain tasted lovely and was good portion for the price. Now dessert. This is where I get very sad and disappointed. There is two options to choose from. Which was chocolate fudge cake . Or a strawberry gateau. So we ordered a chocolate fudge cake. After finishing our curry. We waited for our plates to be collected and for our dessert to be given. Now we sat there for a good 20-30 minutes waiting. With our curries still in front, so we decided to go up to ask how long it’ll take. We only then get told that there was no chocolate fudge cake left. Now I was only so disappointed because I’m a fussy eater, and I’m pregnant. I sat there for 20 odd minutes waiting for a dessert that was never going to arrive: so they give us the option of strawberry gateau, cheesecake or ice cream. Now I don’t particularly like cheesecake or strawberry gateau. Or plain ice cream for that matter. So I asked about like idk if they could possibly give me the money back for the dessert that I wasn’t going to have. Which could’ve been straight forward. 6 pound for 3 meals that’s 2 pound a meal. Simple. So instead I had to have a ice cream. Which wasn’t even great cause it came from a £1 scoop tub, they offered sauce . Which they didn’t spare much at all. Seeing my friend asked for some and they didn’t even put sauce on hers. Over all. Experience wasn’t great at all. Food is nice. But customer service isn’t great. Don’t expect the dessert you asked for. Be ready to be in risk of being disappointed , sorry for the rant . It’s just they also should’ve mentioned much earlier that there wasn’t any cake left."
