"Fantastic experience at The Greyhound Inn. 5 Stars. My wife, 2 daughters and I have just got back from our Sunday Lunch at The Greyhound Inn and we really feel compelled to write a good review for this establishment. The Sunday lunch was beautifully cooked, well proportioned and wonderfully plated. The Girls had the children's size and this was more than enough. Easily the best Sunday lunch we have had for a long time. The Inn itself is warm, cosy and inviting oozing character with a wonderfully rustic charm. I was told it is mentioned in the doomsday book! The outside is very well Kept and plenty of parking. The restaurant was clean, tidy and All the tables were laid out nicely. The table wear, cutlery and glass wear all spotless and it’s these little details that really make a good restaurant, a great restaurant. Lovely atmosphere as well. The customer service was flawless. Each and every member of staff was professional, smart, polite, and friendly. Greeting us when we came in, checking on us and saying goodbye as we left. In my opinion the price is fair for the food and service you receive. After lunch went to the beer garden for a coffee and to let the girls play in the small park outside and burn off some steam. Overall this place is everything we thought it would be and more. It’s the little attention to detail that makes this establishment stand out and it’s safe to say we will be returning very soon."

A really enjoyable meal. The food was tasty with some interesting menu choices as well as old favourites. The pub has really good ambiance. Nice and cosy with the wood burner going on a cold day. A really good experience.

What a fantastic hotel. Used it as a 2 night stop for a wedding and I cannot fault it. Clean, organised, friendly, great pub and restaurant area and a fantastic breakfast...my eggs were a little too hard to dip my soldiers but all is forgiven as the rest of the service is fantastic!

As always outstanding. Food excellent, people polite and very friendly. This is not the first time we have been to the Greyhound. Looking forward to the nice summer evenings, so we can sit outside with the dogs and have food and drinks. If ever you are looking for good food and value for money. The Greyhound is the place to go.

varied menu, good choice of meals with vegan options. the staff is more than helpful, very friendly and cheerful, served with trust. great ambiente with a roaring log burner, well spaced tables. good selection of background music, just the right volume to not disturb the conversation. prices comparable to most other restaurants. excellent food and excellent service. we always receive a warm, friendly reception in greyhound, the staff is efficient and the eating is delicious. the atmosphere is relaxed whether they eat in the bar or in the restaurant. during a previous visit we had a group booking for the Christmas dinner and we were very impressed with the delicious and high quality of the food.

We thoroughly enjoy this pub and have visited multiple times. The staff are always very friendly and the food is top-notch. The pub has a lovely garden with an outdoor seating area. I would only give it 4 stars though, as I feel the portion sizes are smaller and the prices are higher. I understand that prices are rising, but paying nearly £16 for a roast with a small amount of meat, a few potatoes, and a small side of vegetables seems a bit pricey.

I tried the Sunday roast at this restaurant and made sure to specify that I was vegan, so they left out the meat and Yorkshire pudding. The meal was tasty, but the portion size felt a bit smaller compared to the non-vegan option. I also had a vegan pudding (creme caramel), which was a bit lacking in portion size but very delicious. Overall, I wasn't too disappointed with my experience, especially considering the previous review from February 4, 2020. View menu

Lovely pub and lovely setting. I don't like being critical of staff as you don't really know how long they have been working there. I'd order the beef and when our order arrived the waiter asked who was having the lamb. When he had just the one plate left I said I'd ordered beef and he said that must be this one then. It was beef. We had also asked for a couple of extra napkins and just before we left the waitress asked if we still wanted them. Bit late I'm afraid. Ok, minor criticisms, the food was ok but not outstanding. Would I go back? Probably not. Would I recommend the Greyhound? Possibly.

over night at such beautiful gas house at fenney bridges. we had a double room with private bathroom, which was very comfortable accommodation. tw and tee preparation facilities were also provided. we had also booked an evening meal and both had 8oz rump steak, that was delicious. then followed sticky toffee pudding and ice and cheeseboard. I chose the 3 Chess option, and I can honestly say without a word of a lie that was the best cheese and cookies I ever had. it included cookies, robs sellerie and chutney. the stay included morning breakfast. so many things to choose on the menu. each selection was not a problem. the staff was excellent and very friendly, and I hope to visit again, the op...

"We had two dinners and breakfast from this restaurant because we stayed in the Home Farm Hotel. We wanted to have the dinner and breakfast during our stay, but had to cancel our plans due to VERY POOR customer service received from Richard and also...because of his wife's cooking due to overcooked and burned full cook breakfast we received from the restaurant. Day 1, Richard introduced his wife to us, but she totally ignored us and in addition, she did not even bother to acknowledged and smiled with us. She seems to be very upset or very distance from everything or stressed/fed up about something at the time. Not sure this was due to over working… Day 1, Richard requested us to come down stairs for the dinner at 18:00, but instead of taking us to the restaurant for dinner, he tried his best to hard sell the alcohols he had in the bar to us and also to all the other guests. This happened even after we told him several times that we only want the meal and no alcohol from his bar. After about two hours, I had to tell him that I’m a diabetic and heart patient therefore I do really want to eat the meal and have a rest. He gave us the menu and I asked for lamb which was on the menu and he went crazy and said to us that they do not provide English food in this restaurant. I showed him what was on the menu, but he did not even apologise to us. He said lamb run out and asked us to select something else from the menu, again we selected duck, but that was run out as well!!! By then, Richard was sarcastic and rude to us as well as to other guests… In the end, we asked what we can have for our dinner. He almost shouted at us saying he and his wife only there to run the hotel without any staff therefore, we have to eat whatever his wife can cook!!! Finally, at about 21:00, we managed to have our dinner and I asked Richard to cancel our breakfast and dinner booking for the rest of the days however, he said we have to take the breakfast for next day because it was too late to cancel it. Next morning (Day 2), we were near the restaurant since 08:00 as Richard requested but as usual, past 09:00 we received burnt and overcooked full breakfast for two of us. They had a very large menu but it seems like most of the food either his wife did not know how to cook or had run out. Richard charged full price for our meals, BUT he FORGOT to provide the good quality food and services to the customers…"
