Great service and good food! Also the ambience is really pretty!! It's right next to the Altbrücke. We spent a very nice quaint afternoon here having scrumptious lunch

the food was good. that was our first German food to make sure we ordered the black kink. it didn't disappoint us. we also ordered the Greek salate, which was very fresh and juicy.

Not pretentious, just fantastic service and traditional German fare. The inside of the restaurant has a decor worth seeing but dining outdoors while people watching only a block away from the riverside was best for us. Excellent food and service.

My main destination was the castle.i walked from the train station through the route there and visited shops along the way as one nears the castle area. I missed the funicular ride up so hiked a very steep route. I bought the tour and don’t...know how one would get in without having the tour. The guide was knowledgable and quite humorous. Interesting castle and it’s story. There is also a museum of pharmacy which is most enlightening. The castle grounds are enormous a beautiful area with views of the city. Rode the funicular down and visited the shops in the way back. Had coffee and pastry at a lovely tea house on the way. I found Heidelberg a charming city.

We arrived on a Sunday around pm after a very long day of traveling with no reservations. We saw many reserved tables, but were seated at a nice table for the of us. The interior is very cozy and charming. Dennis was our...server, nice guy, spoke English so well we couldn't believe he was from Heidelberg. He was very friendly to the old people us, and helped us with recommendations for the food and wine. We had the pork knuckle and the Hausgemachte Maultasche large ravioli Swabian style. My wife also had a side of red cabbage, she loves red cabbage. We were starved, we realized that we had not eaten for hours except for a breakfast roll on the plane.
