"Wir waren heute hier.Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und haben sich mehrfach danach erkundigt, ob alles in Ordnung ist.Das essen kam warm und lecker an den Tisch.Das Besteck war sauber, nicht wie bei einem meiner Vorrednern.Einzig allein die Umgebung könnte man etwas Staub wischen und Spinnweben weg machen (hinter dem Schirm)Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen für uns war:hunde sind nicht erlaubt.Somit konnten wir als Urlauber nur rein, da die Hunden bei meinen eltern in der Pensiongeblieben sind, die nicht mit wollten."

"I can recommend any of this little place. You can see with every breath that everyone here is full of passion and heart blood. Food is excellent and freshly prepared. Service is very nice and on zack. To the ambience you cannot imagine a stylish and authentic place In addition, the host itself also includes stars. Why? .... You must experience this yourself; . It is recommended and rewarding. Child friendliness: You go to children and make them feel great. Great!"

"We never miss an opportunity to visit this excellent restaurant and we are obviously not alone as there are always lots of tables occupiedby locals and visitors. Situated across the road from the forest railway station and about 5 minutes walk from the centre of town it is traditional in decor but the food ranges from traditional to modern. Try the salads or as I do make sure the main course you choose comes with a salad and the dressings are wondeful. The service is friendly and good to see them in the traditional "Dirndles"."

"After a day of trying to figure out the bus system in Zwiesel, including an unexpected hike to the Nachmann Crystal outlet in the boondocks, we returned to town looking for a good meal and a good beer. On the downtown square across from the...fountain, we found the Dampfbrau. It is not the brewery which is in another part of town, but it sells its beer on tap. We walked just before they were ready to take their afternoon break before dinner, but our waiter was gracious and friendly, and we were welcomed. The beer was a wonderful dark concoction (it means steam beer) and our meal selections were amazing. I had a beef roast smothered in a cream mushroom sauce (with the local steinpilz mushrooms). My husband had a brisket in a cream sauce. We were surprised to find the meat was similar to corned beef, and so tender it didn't need a knife. It was covered with a delicious light horseradish cream sauce and a sprinkling of horseradish on top. As we were waiting for our meal, we met the resident Wolpertinger (the iPod translator actually translated this as Jackalope, I kid you not), apparently the mascot of the local schnapps distillery. We had to put that visit off for another time."
