Again, one of my favourites in Cologne. The interior design is 50ies. Made so well. Enjoy the drinks, including some old fashioned German sodas, eat a little dish and watch the people. Love it!

Being Spanish, one thinks that we are the most cheerful and fun when going out - so we were pretty impressed with this amazing place last weekend. Very vintage, very groovy, nice atmosphere & better cocktails. Not that pricey. Surely a must-go!

I was visiting Cologne for the weekend and I had seen images of this place online and travelled to the area specially to visit Hallmackenreuther for breakfast, I was very disappointed that the service was nothing but rude and it ruined our day. View menu

My partner wanted me to see this establishment - first impressions was that it was busy with a good mix of people. The place however in my opinion needs a decoration just to add a better vibe.The food however was very good indeed, I had risotto and my partner had ravioli - a glass of prosecco is a bargain at €3.10 Would go back again - its in a vibrant funky area

Used to go to this place a lot. Always mega busy. Hadn't been for a long time. Went back to have lunch outside. Tons of empty tables but the waitress couldn't be asked to set the table and gave us an attitude. Speaking to the staff inside about how we were betting treated did not result in anything. Apparently they were understaffed. And yes, I could speak to the manager but they would just tell me the same. Shocking. And neither of the people we spoke to could be asked to be helpful or friendly. Maybe that's why the place is empty these days.

This is a favourite hangout of mine in Cologne. Wonderfully located, not a tourist trap. Great architecture and ambiance. Very mixed public mostly local of all ages. Many students meet with friends or to enjoy the free internet/ wifi. Full bar where you can sit and watch/meet people, talk with friends and simply relax. Or you can sit at a table downstairs or up on the balcony. There is a small but very good menu with a variety of excellent dishes meat and vegitarian. Cakes are also delicious. I am often here.
