"To be fair to the place - some dishes are good, but you have to know what they are like. My last meal wasn't and that wouldn't be a big problem, as it happens sometimes, not all restaurant meals are always good... However, what I really disliked is the atmosphere in this place, and especially the waiter. He was utterly inappropriate in his attitude towards the customers. Personally, I don't like when a man serving my food stares at me with evaluating look - I didn't come to a bar after all. Second, instead of working fast and serving the customers, he was super slow! I saw a couple had to leave without getting their food, two more couples came in and left immediately, seeing what was in this place. Besides, when a big group of Afghan men gathered, we were squeezed to the corner, so that it was impossible to sit there any longer. So, the place gives the priority to their own people. And finally, I ordered some kebab, which turned out not what kebab usually looks like - it was just a fried cutlet with fried egg and some salad on the side! So, I was highly disappointed. I wouldn't pay 8.5 Euro for such combo, if I knew in advance that what they serve under the title "kebab"!"

It is mine favourite in the city. Always delicious, everything I ordered so far was amazing. I like the atmosphere.

It is a small and a cosy locale in the Uni-HH vicinity. Particularly their lamb skewer is the best. In fact, I go there only for this. :)

Strolling through the university area (better known as Schanze) we came across this little restaurant - a couple of seats outside and some tables inside. Vegitarian and lamb, together with rice and often eggplant. And ... no dish more than 13 Euro! Value for money - absolutely! View menu

I was here for a late dinner, and the place was quiet. You have a wide variety of food choice and the Safran Palau (saffron rice with pistachio nuts and almonds) with lamb and mixed vegetables was really good. The atmosphere is a bit gloomy and the service could be absolutely better.

I have been here multiple times and love the food. You don't find Afghani food on every street corner and the flavors are wonderful. The lunch specials are of great value; dinner plates are much larger and a bit more expensive. My only complaint is that the service is slow and unfriendly.

I had an excellent lamb stew on my first visit here. Lamb with tomatoes, peppers, onions, and two eggs on top. It tasted more German than Indian but was superb. On my next visit I had another lamb dish with rice and pistachios and shredded orange peel. It was tasty but I still wished I had ordered the lamb stew again. View menu

A place I can definitely recommend. We enjoyed some really nice dishes, which came in big portions - ideal to assuage the great appetite we had. The prompt and friendly service is just a cherry on top. As I'm used to hot meals, all in all was seasoned nicely - but mild. ( Probably to fit the average northern european taste ;) )I will for sure visit again!
