The food has been excellent every time I have visited Morel's. The lunch menu Monday- Saturday is great value, usually €22 for 3 courses, with a supplement charge if you choose fish.

Been away from our favourite restaurant to long, superb impromptu lunch today and courses of loveliness. Terrine, bouef, dessert, just superb . Great service and still one of our top ten.

We ate at the gorgeous Morels last week the food was simply wonderful, the staff couldn't do enough for us and the owners are delightful. We enjoyed it so much that I'm booking my big 60 there next year. Thank you View menu

Nous avons fait halte dans ce restaurant par hasard et nous étions agréablement surpris par cette bonne cuisine même si nous avions pris le menu du jour qui était très abordable qualité/prix, très bien accueilli par les serveurs qui ont était aux petits soins avec nous malgré la salle bondé. le jeudi 3 Aout 2017Je recommande vivement.

We had a recommendation to eat at Morel's from the proprietor of our Chambres d'Hote some distance away. The meal was well worth the drive. The food and wine were excellent with attentive, friendly service. The menu was interesting - I could have chosen many other dishes. We would certainly like to return, next time we are south of Angouleme.

After we tried to find the whole village, we decided to dine in the hotel dining room, which turns out that this restaurant l’s that I think is the name of the chef. what a fabulous tasty bite, I have... avoid eating where I have stayed, now I find with ripe I have missed, especially when meal times like those presented here, I am not sure if this French tyre has been here, if not he should, certainly as impressive as the last time I visited one of their recommended facilities. back to our room very happy and lasting, pleased, has such a fabulous experience. Si la cuisine est de bonne qualité, l'accueil et le service ont été déplorables; arrivés à 13 heures, après avoir réservé, le premier plat (du menu du jour) nous a été servi plus d'une heure et quart après notre arrivée et les deux enfants qui étaient avec nous ont attendu une heure et demie avant qu'on leur amène le menu enfant !!..Il a fallu systématiquement insister et réclamer à quatre ou cinq reprises pour avoir une bouteille de vin et d'eau supplémentaire...Enfin, les toilettes étaient repoussantes : les toilettes des dames étant bouchées, nous avons été dirigées vers les toilettes de la salle de sport, d'une saleté innommable, la serviette destinée à s’essuyer les mains, étant maculée...

Nous sommes venus il y a une dizaine de jours dans cet établissement.Ce fût une de nos PLUS BELLE expérience culinaire. Nous nous sommes laissé tenté par le menu à 46€. C'est un voyage extra ordinaire du début à la fin.Les plats furent tous de très très très Grand moment gastronomique. Les goûts, les saveurs, les produits, ce soir là nous avions Bavaroise de langoustines et tartar de bar, Lieu jaune de ligne, et le Pigeon. Les cuissons maîtrisées à la perfection, et le sentiment d'avoir arrêté le temps pendant quelques heures. Le service est au top, Tous, Maître d'hôtel, les deux jeunes homme et la jeune femme. Service souriant, connaisseurs, à l'écoute.Nous avons pu rencontré le Chef, Jeune...

We booked two nights here after a disastrous air bnb booking 20 miles away, and seeing as we were planning on spending time in Aubeterre, it made sense anyway.We booked through booking.com, all of which was a simple process at a reasonable rate.Staff and check-in were great, the only thing that we thought let it down was the room. Tired, springy mattress and lumpy pillows, not particularly brilliant.There was also a fan provided in the bedroom, which honestly wasn't worth having - on high speed I think I could fan myself better!We were in room 9 just at the top of the stairs.Now - on to the rest of the hotel - the pool area - simply gorgeous, it transports you from the old town of Aubeterre...
