"We stayed two nights at the hotel of which this restaurant is a part. After returning the first night to the hotel we went to the restaurant to book a table for the next evening. It is more of a pizzeria than a proper restaurant but pizza is okay sometimes and the TA reviews were fine. We decided to have a glass of wine since it was not so late in evening. The first table they offered us came with a cold wind from an open door. When we told them it was very cold and draughty they closed the door but the next staff passing through left the door open. We closed the door ourselves but once again a person left it open so we asked for another table. We had to wait for a short while but then we got a nice small table by a window where a couple left in a hurry. Our carafe of wine arrived and it was too warm, at least 4-5 degrees over proper serving temperature. We only planned for a quick drink so we didn’t complain. Then the problems started. And we understood why the couple left so hastily. On the inside of the glass pane of the window there were lots of small flies that really not only liked the wine but also our faces and hands. After the first attack I saw a couple of them had drowned in the wine. I picked them up quickly so I could have some more wine. But then the flies came back. We had to cover our glasses in order to avoid the wine be even more contaminated with flies. We sat for a few minutes hoping the flies would leave taking quick sips of wine between fighting of the files. But the flies didn’t leave. We called one of the staff and told him about he flies but he said nothing at all and left again shrugging. I guess the small flies is a result of bad cleaning and hygiene in the restaurant and he was fully aware of that. So what could he do but leave? We left the table, still fighting the flies, with wine still in the glasses. We went to desk and paid for the wine. No apology expressed at all. For a second I thought we also had to pay for the flies as snacks. Of course we cancelled the reservation for the coming night we had made when entering the restaurant. No way we would have dinner in a filthy restaurant together with very small but aggressive flies attacking us, drinking the wine and eating our food."

"Wir waren in einer Gruppe von 8 Personen für 2 Nächte im Hotel. 2x Frühstück und 2x Abendessen - wir konnten nicht klagen. Warme speisen waren warm, kamen für alle zu gleichen Zeitpunkt und waren allesamt sehr schmackhaft. Die Speisekarte ist erfreulich übersichtlich (Ca. 15-20 Gericht) was der Frische in der Zubereitung zu Gute kommt. Jahreszeitlich finden dabei wechselnde Gerichte Platz. Wunderhübsche (Beilagenzuordnung) werden ohne Murren erfüllt. Die Bedienung war uns gegenüber immer zuvorkommende, freundlich und präsent-unaufdringlich. Fazit der Gruppe - Weiterempfehlung zu 100%."

"On the recommendation of an acquaintance, we visited this restaurant two days ago. I have to say that we often go to food and have experienced everything from very good to badly. We would see this restaurant in the middle field. From the selection, the food is typical German and bourgeois and there are many dishes that sound very tasty. As an appetizer there were sausage meat and potato soup. So the sausage meat was very good and, unlike other restaurants, had a sweet touch, which made the taste very interesting. So get up! Only as a supplement, instead of the usual toaste, there was unfortunately only a cut open and already dry poppy. Unfortunately very inappropriate. The potato soup was made on a vegetable basis, which resulted in this lack of intensity and strength. But for being made on a vegetable basis, it was very good in taste. Unfortunately, there were only cut-out poppy rolls discs for this. From the appetizer very much, we expected the main dish full of anticipation. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. I myself had a cabbage rug with salt potatoes. While the term "salt "potatoes was unfortunately completely deposed, because according to the taste you have made a big bow to the salt. Only the consistency of the potatoes was very good and at the point. However, due to the lack of salt taste, these were inedible. Unfortunately, it was similar to the Kohlroulade. At least one very easy salt taste could be heard here. However, much too little to talk about tasty. Unfortunately, my partner did not get much better with his rib. These were unfortunately unspoiled and also very dry. Only the tasty sauce made the food even tasty. The bread which was served was only unfortunately not fresh but very dry. As a result of this medium-class result, we will not have a second visit to this restaurant for the first time. Maybe again in 2-3 years to see if something has improved. Maybe only the cook had a bad day. We'll see."

"Mitten an der Straße gelegen findet sich gleich am "Dorf"-Eingang das Deutsche Haus. Laut informativem Aushang trägt diese ehemalige Zollschänke nun schon seit über 100 den Namen Deutsches Haus.Die Einrichtung ist ländlich gemütlich, der Saal groß mit schöner Deckenbemalung und Bar, ein Billiardtisch läd zum spielen ein. Ein kleiner Raum neben der Küche kann für Feierlichkeiten in kleiner Runde genutzt werden. Der Kachelofen hier und im Gastraum neben der Theke hilft sich schnell wieder aufzuwärmen.Das Essen (ich hatte Gemüse, mein Mann Fisch, die Kinder Schnitzel) hat sehr gut gemundet und der Teller war gut gefüllt. Das Schnitzel (ich durfte kosten) ein Genuss, frischer geht glaube ich nicht. Die Bedienung war trotz gefülltem Gastraum und Biergarten freundlich und schnell. Nach unserem Essen konnten wir noch ein kleines Museum mit landwirtschaftlichen Gegenständen bewundern und an der Kahnanlegestelle ein wenig entspannen. EMPFEHLENSWERT"

"It is a little quirky on beautiful days before the porticus of the porticus and that is not always everyone's thing. Due to its location, directly at the Kahnhafen of Burg, in beautiful weather, the squares at the Terasse are very close. The beginning of the 90 ziger built buildings leaves a vague impression with me. Of course, everything is modern, bright and tidy, but there is only something original that you could do better. But it's not a spree forest-typical construction. The operation during my visit was very friendly and quickly went to work so you didn't have to wait long. The food is good and sufficient with spreewald-typical accents the prices lean on average and are still in order with, for example, just under 8EUR for beef with roasted potatoes. The fact that there is a large plate with scavengers on the other side is another story, one is still in a holiday area. All in all, there is nothing here in the way of a return, unless you seek peace and tranquility, this becomes more difficult here."
