"The restaurant is in one of the best spots of the Münsterplatz or town square, right in front of the church. Since there is no through traffic, it's very quiet and if the weather permitting, there is plenty of outdoor seating. The menu has lots...of German and local food, don't forget to check the daily and seasonal special. It can get very busy, sometimes the service becomes a little bit slow. They serve Lasser beer, a local beer from the region. It's worth to stop by, even just for a drink to watch the activities on the town square."

Good value for three people Eros which included a couple of drinks. Food filling and fresh and not a long wait for service despite it being midday.

We just loved the food! Tasty steaks, schnitzels, spinach strudel! But be aware, portions are huge! And if you add that this is centrally located, with nice traditional decorations and a great service, it is a must to visit. View menu

Ate here in May had a delicious Holzfällersteak (pork steak) with potatoes and onions. Extremely hearty and filling. Also a very generous portion! The staff were lovely and welcoming and I had a rather delicious riesling as well. Was in the area for the...week and this was one of my favourite meals.

Good location on a sunny day in the main square. Large menu with only a few vegetarian choices, but my gemuse strudel (vegetable pie, translated on the menu as vegetable wobble was excellent served with spinach and baked cherry tomatoes, with a salad starter included...at . Large portions. Meal for two (my partner had pork) with two large beers came to

Been going to this location for years, thought I wrote a review previously. The staff is extremely friendly, many options on the menu including desert options. When the weather warms up you can enjoy your meal outside. Service can be slow at times when they...have outdoor seating because of how busy they can get. Open days unlike other locations in town, always great for a good lunch, dinner or late night meal. View menu

while we stayed with friends in basel, we drove down to visit this restaurant. parked on the Swiss side of the Rhine and went over an amazing wooden bridge in Germany. a beautiful evening, so we sat outside and we all ordered the ribs that were...absolutely delicious. I had nasty and the flesh just fell off the bone. served in a rich gravure with potato slices. service was good and a really great evening in beautiful surroundings. the journey from basel is worth it.

The food was delicious. Rustic German dishes. There were no appetizers on the menu so my husband and I shared a veggie bake entree thing which tasted great. I wish I'd known how massive the main dishes were because we would have skipped the appetizer...haha. My Jaeger Schnitzel was actually schnitzels and a hefty portion of spaetzle! I could only eat half unfortunately even though I wanted every bite of that! Our waitress was very friendly and we loved our time there

Toll!! Danke für den Abend."
