"Paris is known for its food, and we had a lot of excellent meals while we were there. But the best meal we had by far was at I Ghiotti -- we liked it so much that we went back a second night! It is a tiny little restaurant with one waiter and 2 cooks. You can easily see the cooks working in the spotless kitchen. There were only about a dozen intimate tables in the whole restaurant, which opened for dinner at 7pm, and only had one sitting. We did not finish our delicious, intimate and delightful dinner until 10:30 either night. The pasta tasted like it was freshly made. The bread was some of the best we ate in Paris (known for its bread!). The sauces were flavorful. The presentation was beautiful. One night we had an appetizer that was a large ball of some kind of cheese (I believe the waiter said it was a kind of mozzarella cheese) atop a bed of lightly sauteed vegetables. We could have made a dinner out of this appetizer itself! One night we had a cannoli for dessert. The second night we had their tiramisu. Get the tiramisu. Make sure you save room for dessert and get the tiramisu! Their wine selection was surprisingly large for such a small restaurant. The service was excellent, too. The waiter remembered us from our first visit, remembered my dietary restrictions, and made recommendations for us. There are a large number of restaurants in the area; be sure to make time to eat at I Ghiotti at least once!"

You'd better reserve this place is a hidden gem known by locals! High chairs and tables 22 patrons only .. A whole in the wall! But so delicious authentic home made (including pasta!) . Good knowledge of wines all italian. This is a place for an authentic italian dinner!

Highly recommended. Not your average, family-run, Italian restaurant. Delicious, out-of-the-ordinary southern Italian fare made from fine ingredients and beautifully presented. Attentive service and proper bread (always a good Parisian dining barometer). A solid 4.5 out of 5.

Real Italian food with only home made ingredients. Small place but with great authentic food from Sicily, the welcome is warm and gentle. The food is great and the wine is very good specially the Sassicaia, Brunello or Roso di Montalcino and the Barolo. Reservation is mandatory. View menu

Whenever we come to Paris we always reserve a table at Ghiotti. They serve great Italian food - from antipasti to deserts, very nice selection and very fine dishes. And all of that with fair price and very friendly service.Highly recommended - don't forget to book a table in advance!BTW - the panacotta is divine..

I arrived a few minutes before opening, the door was open... 19:15 instead of 19:30... i had a rude reception, bothering to disturb their little routine. Food looks good, but place is too small ta make it a really comfortable venue. This review has been typed in while waiting without attendance. Some people should learn principles of hospitality ...

Found this place by the off chance and it just looked inviting, Andre, who we found out later is the brother of the chef was welcoming and very helpful. This is a family run restaurant, one brother is the chef, the other front of house.Ok the food, truly blown away by the quality, the flavour and just the pure balance of flavour. Amazing wine list too.Unbelievable value for such an amazing restaurant, find it try it before you can't get in,,,I loved this place. View menu

This place is tiny and you definitely need to reserve but the taste in the plate is anything but. The food was really fantastic absolutely delicious and so many flavors. Makes me want to go back many times to taste absolutely everything on the menu. The wine was also excellent. I read a previous review saying that the service was not so friendly but I couldn't disagree more. A lovely couple who run the place they couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Very authentic and highly recommended.

We ran into this bistro after our visit to Arc de Triomphe. The friendly and helpful owner (?) offered us the last table inside (it was still at around 30 degrees Celsius outside) which we decided to take. After some minutes he came to our table and invited us to sit outside because of a no-show on a reservation (note: we were sitting inside, we had already ordered and were happy, so he could have saved this table for other guests, but he did not). The restaurant is situated in a quiet and not very busy street alongside with a few other restaurants. It's small but nice (inside and outside). The real highlight was the food: we enjoyed our freshly cooked homemade pasta, the nice antipasti, Panna...
