"Having just reviewed a restaurant where as soon as I entered the premises I wanted to exit left, the charming setting that is Ida's, on the other hand, gives you a rather warm glow it's inviting, nicely set out and has a homely feel to it I was first drawn to Ida's because a lot of locals had told me that they'd thoroughly enjoyed the food, the intimate setting and the pleasant and relaxed atmoshpere I had read from the website that the pasta is hand rolled daily- a rarity these days. It's great to have a traditional family-owned restaurant in a city dominated by chains and trendy pop-up establishments.

It's far from perfect the name Ida means work', and it needs some but I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone lucky enough to live nearby.

I will overlook the limited space and uncoordinated servers (they struggled to communicate the specials and were difficult to hear when asking questions).

This is one of the best family-owned restaurants I have visited. The staff are very friendly, the food is excellent, and they have great specials on Mondays to Thursdays. View menu

I noticed Ida whilst whizzing by on a bus on my way home from a shopping trip. It intrigued me right away because it reminded me of a typical neighborhood Brooklyn Italian restaurant. At least it looked like one from the outside anyway. I love eating in L

Absolutely excellent, the restaurant is very prettily decorated and has great ambiance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the drinks were delicious and the food was brilliant. On top of all this it's very reasonably priced! The steak was cooked perfectly and was excellent however the pasta was the real highlight, may go for two pasta portions next time!

I had not expected much when I found this place, as it is a lonely restaurant in a quiet neighbourhood, although I liked the cozy decoration. I order the menu povero: a glass red wine with a selection of pasta. I have lived in italia for 1.5 years, so I tried a little pasta before, but I must say the spaghetti alla carreteria were absolutely delicious! so good I asked about brot to leave nothing in the plate. the brot was also very good. after that I had the dark chocolate panacotta, which was a good dessert to finish this meal. I recommend this place definitiw. View menu

when they are in West London, ida is the place to go. one of the only restaurants in london with hand-rolled pasta, ida has character, a great atmosphere and naturally delicious eating. the personal is attentive and the service is great. try the tagliatelle ragu marchigiano. this twist on the classic tagliatelle ragu is delicious. the handmade pasta sucks in the delicious sauce and one is provided with a generous bowl of parmesan without asking! (this is very rare in my experience with Italian restaurants) I often go here and will continue to do so. I strongly recommend ida.

Ida is in a very pretty corner shop towards the back end of Queen’s Park. We walked in to find a basic dining room with open kitchen and lots of vintage accoutrements adorning the walls. To my mind just what you want in a neighbourhood restaurant. Around 1/2 the 12 or so tables were full which was a good sign for a weekday lunchtime. That was probably helped by the lunchtime special, 1 course for £5.95 or 2 for £9.95 from a good selection of antipasti, primi, secondi and dessert. We ordered the ubiquitous Peroni (Moretti was also on offer) and they also had a blood orange Pellegrino drink which I hadn’t seen before.
