"There is a small frontage on the main road with a tiny car park but plenty of free parking nearby. It is in the embrace of an industrial estate and not the most exciting exterior but it is a good atmosphere both in and out once through the door. There is a problem sitting on the terrace many Italians still smoke during meals and bugs and moths flock to the lights that are very close to the tables, so the irritation is hard to escape. We had good service. Our waitress popped out to get cushions for us (the chairs really are very basic) and brought water in carafes, one flat and one fizzy. She later moved us to another table to ensure that we were spared the worst of the flies but this probably needs to be addressed. The food is good. Much the same as the other restaurants in the area almost all of which focus on delivering similar Tuscan tourist menus. At Delle Streghe the salads are an excellent starter and the pastas an excellent main course. Portions are smaller than in many local restaurants, which is a relief for a generation brought up to believe that food left on the plate is wasteful. Good but not exceptional"

"Food drinks: Un ottimo ristorante dove poter gustare i prodotti tipici toscani , ottimi piatti dal antipasto ai primi e per me che sono celiaco la pasta gluten free era squisita, per non parlare della classica tagliata tipica toscana , un posto dove si può riassaporare la cucina tipica Toscana e non solo , se passate da quelle parti non potete non fermarvi alla Locanda la Fornace. "First. I’d like to address the reviewer who thought they were singled out for being American. I asked (in Italian) if the hostess spoke English, which she did not. I was able to ask for a table for two in Italian. Please note we are now at a total of six words in Italian, so it is not a heavy lift. I don’t mean to be rude but these are good phrases to know if you are traveling in this area as this is not a large city. She instantly knew what we wanted, we pantomimed to sit outdoors. Then, we did wait a few minutes between receiving the menus and being able to order. However, it was clear to me that they were waiting for the waitress who spoke English to be available, I do not think we were in her section. This lovely young woman was very accommodating and answered any questions we had, Graziemille! Food and wine arrived quickly and was excellent. Prices are very fair. This was a nice casual meal and it was a good sign that so many Italian families were dining here. Mangia e buon fortuna!"

"On our way back to hotel after a long busy day in Firenze, we stopped w/ some friends II Grano E L’Uva b/c of prior trip advisor reviews ARE SO Glad we did! Francisco the owner) did his magic put together 5 wooden cutting boards with samples from his deli/ shop of ALL these different breads, pestos, olives, salami’s, stuffed tomatoes, olive oils, cheeses spreads! It was absolutely DELICIOUS ! We Highly recommend really enjoyed the local wine he recommended as well! Le Palaie: Gatta Ci Cova photo attached! We also enjoyed picking out some breakfast biscotti, apricot torte, al cioccolato, torta al limone all for tomorrow’s breakfast!"
