"Booked in advance for Sunday Lunch for 4 as we had not eaten out for some time as the cost of living meant we’ve cut back so we were really looking forward to our treat as we had been to the pub on several occasions before. Sorely disappointed not only with the 1 hr 15 minute wait for our food (the pub was not busy), but also the lack of a sorry from any staff. Normally you pay to eat out as the food is usually better than what you could prepare at home… the Sunday Roast was a basic let down. Heated up and a little dry. Would AVOID for food and just go for drinks. Pub has gone downhill for us on this occasion as it just spoils your day and you get the privilege of paying a lot of money for it."

The outdoor seating area was beautiful, but the bartender was unfriendly. The requirement of a five pound minimum spend on cards made the price of a lemonade quite high. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

Avoid this pub at all costs. Overpriced. Unfriendly barman to the point of being downright rude. We had one drink and left. We would never return. It’s a shame because it has the potential to be a nice place. DREADFUL.

I found the man behind the bar to be rude and unwelcoming and then thought maybe he was just having a bad day for some reason but NO I can see from the many reviews that he seems to be rude and unwelcoming to most people. Such a shame but that is just not how to run a successful business. View menu

We came with my children and husband in a wheelchair. The man serving was grumpy and unaccommodating when we told him our wheelchair could not access the garden. He said the pub is grade I listed so they could not widen main garden entrance and he didn’t have the key for the 5 bar gate. out they had a 5 bar gate at bottom of car park.

The bartender at this restaurant was unfriendly and lied about a £5 minimum on card payments. I paid £4 for burnt cheesy garlic bread. The kitchen consisted of microwaves and I saw a lady cooking and eating off the trays. Despite spending £40, my partner was refused a small wine because of the minimum charge. This pub was a disappointment.

I visited this pub with friends had a lovely friendly welcome the photos of the toilets on here are very old they have definitely been refurbished since these pictures it was lovely and clean and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful I recommend ignoring some of the reviews and find out for yourself. They also have a really nice garden with a children’s play area. View menu

If I could give this restaurant a negative star rating, I would. It is an absolute disaster. The owner is incredibly grumpy and rude, showing no concern for how long customers have to wait to be served. The service is clearly suffering as a result. The food is terrible and takes an eternity to arrive. There are no gluten-free options available, and when I inquired about my allergy, I was even laughed at. While the location is beautiful and the outdoor garden is lovely, it is not worth the frustration of attempting to get a meal here.

On arriving at the pub a very grumpy man appeared from behind the bar didn’t even say hello. Made to feel completely unwelcome. We stay as we had just walked 5miles and wanted food and drink. I ordered drinks and a sandwich. I was immediately told it’s white bread as out of bread. Didn’t have any choice I then ordered cheesy chips. See the photo that all I’m saying. Loving garden, gammon in the sandwich was nice as for the welcoming feeling definitely not there. I won’t be stopping again, it’ll be one of the other pubs in the high street.
