"It's no secret that I love Japanese food. And even less of a secret is my fondness for a good cocktail. So put the two together and I'm a very happy girl. Koji which ticks both these boxes in Parsons Green, seems to be a bit of a secret.... I'd never heard of it until researching sake cocktails for a piece I wrote for Time Out, but when they read my piece they invited me down to sample the cocktails and food in person. I went along with Lucy the night before heading to Tresco to do a weekend of pop ups, and we had the most delicious feast of delicate yet punchy Japanese food with punchy yet delicate cocktails!Koji have an ex Nobu chef in their kitchen and you can really tell there's someone who knows what they're doing there. Every dish was exquisite, and the whole experience heightened by being in such a gorgeous setting if you want to impress a date then head straight to Koji. We started with cocktails in the elegant bar area, which is lit by huge feather covered lights. When you go to Koji (which you really should if you're anything like me about good cocktails and Japanese food) order the lemongrass and chilli martini. The perfect balance of zesty and spicy it left our lips tingling in all the right ways. We didn't get round to trying it but the watermelon martini also sounds divine. The food at Koji is Japanese, with a modern twist. The menu's divided into snacks, hot and cold tapas, robata grill and various forms of sushi and sashimi. Being the good (greedy) reviewers that we are, we tried to sample something from each section. Starting with the most wonderful soft shell crab and asparagus summer roll. Light, fresh and expertly rolled it was a great start to what turned out to be a top notch meal."

Koji is an adorable neighborhood Japanese restaurant in Parsons Green with a buzzy vibe and good food. I am not sure I would travel great distances if I didn’t live close to the restaurant as there are other great Japanese spots in town but Koki is cute and serves tasty food. View menu

Love this place! Food is always exquisite, cocktails superb and a great atmoshpere. The staff are all so friendly and just top off a great night. Really sorry to be missing their New Year's Eve dinner such a lovely way to spend NYE without all the hype and nonsense. Always sophisticated. Love it!

sat with my whole family after koji and had a brilliant time. wonderful eating, excellent staff. I must be one of the only people in West london who have almost no knowledge of Japanese food, and today was a great first experience. I would especially recommend the softshell baskets and the lamb slices and the cocktails!

It’s rare that I uncover a real gem, a place so good that I’m still thinking about the delicious food days later…Well, that’s how Mr Silver and I felt about the wonderful Koji, a Japanese restaurant in Parsons Green. Before I even get to the food, I have to start with the amazing cocktails…I chose a Porn Star martini, a delicious blend of passion fruit, vanilla sugar and vodka with a shot of champagne on the side. It was heavenly, with the sweet fruit in the coupe being undercut with the dry champagne. I could literally drink this all day, but that might not end well… View menu

So it’s official. I have a serious obsession with Japanese cuisine – especially so if it has a little fusion going on. I love those western hints making their way into dishes or the peruvian flavours of a refreshing ceviche matching up with the flavours of Japan. Not only has my love for the cuisine spawned because of the multitude of flavours these mix of cuisines brings to the table but also because it’s just something a little different – it’s always exciting and evolving. Little did I know that only a short walk away from me was a new Japanese restaurant called Koji.

The infamous Mio Tai on the New Kings Rd has had a total change over and is now a swanky Japanese restaurant and cocktail bar which, quite frankly, looks exactly the same but with an added sushi bar, new menu 's and a new name...Koji. . One balmy Saturday evening before heading to a birthday in Putney Mr D and I popped in for a bite and to check out what was once our 'go to ' cheer up place if I ever got a parking ticket (that happens far too regularly! . I have often wondered whilst living in Parsons Green why there has never been a sushi bar due to an abundance of the yummy mummy types and health concious it seemed to make sense... Mio Tai 's owners have obviously seen the light... We star...
