"My husband wanted to come here for the “pressed duck” as he loves gourmet experiences. We were astonished with this restaurant. A stubli for us, is a typical alpine restaurant, with the wood paneling, cozy banquets and usually good local food. The setting was all that and more, with candles, fresh flowers and comfortable, uncrowded sitting. On the table was an array of hand made crustini, that was like a “flower arrangement,” so artfully set up and tempting to eat (and delicious to boot). The service was attentive, and welcoming. Anytime the server changed silverware, added another glass, or plate, they wore black gloves to make sure their hands did not touch the item. Very impressive. We shared a mixed salad, (not on the menu) but dressed and divided by the server. The salad was just beautifully arranged. We had the pressed duck, which was prepared at the table. They served one breast first (with lots of vegetables and accompanying food, and took the second one to the kitchen to keep warm and plate once we were done with the first one. Again, service was amazing and the duck was equally impressive. Beside our order, we received two amuse bouche and at the end of the meal a box of sweets. Upon leaving the restaurant we received a small treat to take with us. This is definitely a destination restaurant. They have a couple of pre-fixe menus, or a la carte. You will not be hungry when you leave, and while it is expensive, it is worth it. This was one of the best meals we’ve had. Recommend this highly. Definitely a winner."

Bit hungry while strolling in the mainstraat of Pontresina. Saw Kaffe und Kuchen and tried the nutcake. It was delicious, as was the coffee, served attentively.. Nice setting, rustic Swiss style, nice village too.

An absolutely culinary delight. From start to finish this was a very special experience. Great ambiance excellent service and the food was absolutely top notch. For the quality of food the pricing is not high at all. An absolute must when in Pontresina or in St. Moritz

The restaurant is currently open twice a week for hotel guests. With the Hotel Halbpension you get a modest price reduction. Ambience of good wood cladding) Staff efficient and attentive. Food fine foie gras v good brioche, Angus beef lamb 70% mixed chocolate things) Pleasant experience.

Many top restaurants are closed in the summer in St Moritz. Lucky for us because we found this gem. One of my top five meals. The service was over the top elegant. Some of the best pate I ever tasted and a lobster bisque that was unlike anything we get in the US. My compliments and gratitude for a lovely evening on our last night in Switzerland.

Kronenstubli is undoubtedly one of the best dining eexpetiences we ever had. First rate in every way. Waitstaff all wore black gloves when serving. Beautiful table decorations. Plentiful food. And one of the few restaurants in the world that serves pressed duck which was delicious and less experience than at Tour D'Argent in Paris. If you want an overwhelming dining experience that, imho, is worth it, go her.

The restaurant is next to the Kronenhof, consists of two parts. We were first assigned a table that was in the dark part, namely with very little light. We asked to be moved into the easier part they accepted. The menu is very limited, with about 4 appetizers and 4 main places. We were not really impressed by the originality and the quantities that were quite small. The cheese plate was very disappointing (no Trolley... because of Kovid). Service was friendly and efficient. Wine list very expensive.
