"I walked by many times this summer on the street called Cherche Midi. This restaurant was always full of very happy people. Finally, my wife and I, walked in and the cook himself met us. The restaurant changes their menu regularly so you have to look on the wall at the menu. The cook took his time and explained all the dishes. On this first visit I ordered duck with sweat potatoes and my wife ate a pork dish. Both were simply divine. The manager took us under her wing and introduced us to a wine that we have consumed each time thereafter. We have since gone back another 5 times. We now have a favorite table and the employees and staff are quick to recognize us. Every dish I have had has been delicious. I see regulars now coming to the restaurant (in addition to my wife and I) as the menu is varied and the food and service excellent. This is a restaurant that will have you travel past an entire city of other restaurants to eat there. Highly recommend."

Nice neighborhood restaurant, good food served in generous portions. The beef main course was served with fries and tomato stew on the side. Very friendly service. Recommended. View menu

My neighborhood canteen, visited very regularly. The south-west cuisine is enriched by a perfect cuisine, well-choiced wines, Eric Ospital cutters and generous accompaniment. Ears, knives and milk rice are classics not to be missed. If they are not on the map, ask for advice to competent and efficient staff!

This unassuming neighborhood bistro has a daily menu written on a chalk board in French but the service will help with detail if your French is poor (like mine). The food is excellent and the atmosphere is lively. It's also fairly reasonable in price. They do not take reservations and by 8pm on a Thursday were pretty busy.

My daughter and I had dinner here on a weeknight in April, on the recommendation of a clerk at Le Bon Marche department store. It was quite close by and we enjoyed our meal very much. Excellent service, wine, and side dishes, but it was the sliced, rare cooked, tender veal that stood out and made this one of our favorite meals of the trip. View menu

My Paris friends took me here. It is a destination restaurant but only a 10 minute walk from their apartment. They do not take reservations so be sure to get there by 7 or 7:30 p.m. or risk disappointment. All of the main courses are fantastic and the desserts are absolutely divine. I had the tarte mirabelle and it was just terrific. Highly recommended.

French bistrot (with Basque region inspiration), good and fresh food to pick from the board (l"ardoisse). Service was kind and speaks English. Short selection of wine by the glass. Place is small and does not take reservation (but no problem if you do not arrive as late as Parisians). You can eat in Terassse if you smoke or are fine with smokers (you are in Paris). No AC inside and not much room between table (you are in Paris). We spent 82€ for 2 persons (2 starters, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, 1 bottle of sparkling water, 1 glass of wine)
