"A very pleasant experience with good food and wine and ambiance. Seeing the truly bad experiences of some patrons caused some hesitation on my part, but happily I tried it anyway.I was the first patron on a cold Sunday evening, and the fellow who welcomed me in English (he also offered German) immediately offered to translate anything on the menu and explained things well. The well-decorated dining room is lined with original paintings, which evidently rotate among different artists.I started with a Buzet white wine, new to me, and chose the 18€ Traditional menu. First was a mango and buffalo mozzarella salad with greens and a mustard-based sauce. I moved on to skate wing with capers (Aile de raie Grenobloise), cooked well and simply with butter-fried croutons, small roasted potatoes, and properly boiled, firm carrots and sliced potatoes. Finally a bread pudding topped with chocolate sauce. It was supposed to be Charlotte à l'ancienne aux pommes, but there were no detectable apples (I suspect I misspoke my French order to the non-English-speaking waitress). It was good nonetheless."

Great staff and service. One of us got chicken breast which was dry but eagerly replaced when asked. Nice local wines.

We both had chicken based dishes and the chicken was dry. Vegetables cooked to a mush. Nice atmosphere and good service though

The food here is very reasonably priced and the waiter spoke very good English which helped when we were struggling to identify a couple of things on the menu! A really lovely location too.

Friendly service without overdoing it. Appealing dishes (try the saint jacques & lemon carpaccio!), well prepared. Cuisine tradionnelle, as they call it themselves, is true but a bit too modest a qualification, IMO.

I will highly recommend this family-run restaurant. The service was great and very friendly. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. They really made us feel at home and although we can speak French they had no problem speaking English to us.

We tucked into foie gras, tournedos and scallops on the €27 menu and finished up with a lovely plate of 5 or 6 different deserts. All delicious. Charming waiter who spoke excellent English contributed to a very good eating experience. This is a modern restaurant which was full of young folk and had a good atmosphere.

It was the choice of food on the menu that made us stop here the first time. It's on a busy street so competition is fierce, but once we were presented with the food, it was obvious that we'd made a good choice. The food was very well cooked and we really enjoyed our meal that a few days later, it was an easy decision to return and eat here again.

Very nice restaurant with inside and outside sittings. Beutiful street view from the outside sitting. Dinner was nice. Same was with our Bordeaux wine. There is selection of great food and wine, also specials of day.Service was exceptionally good and staff are fluent in view languages. They will help you with choice and give you sugesstions. Well done, you are great!

All of our meals in Nancy up to this one were excellent. It is located on a busy street recommended by our concierge with a large selection of restaurants to choose from. The menu looked good and it was pretty much full so we tried it. The noise level was terrible and the tables were crowded together. I agree with other reviewers that it did not appear to be clean. My veal dish was bland and had more sauce than veal. service was rushed and not very professional.. With so many places to choose from in Nancy, there is no reason to patronize this one.
