"This is a hidden gem in London and one well worth going out of your way to visit. With so many chain restaurants pushing out mediocre fare, finding a traditional, family run trattoria type of restaurant serving excellent food is a big win. Run by a husband and wife team, the menu is a perfect mix of traditional Italian, with daily specials that complement the main menu. The pasta is all made by hand and is always perfect, with deeply balanced sauces. Main courses of fish or meat are always perfectly cooked and it's rare to ever be disappointed when coming here. The wine list is small as it has to be for a place like this, but is always balanced to the menu and changes regularly enough to keep it interesting. Patrick the owner is charming, affable and always ready to help or recommend something and to adapt where needed or possible. There is an outside patio for summer dining as well, with heaters available, although some blankets on hand would be a good idea. This is one of those places that you feel at home in immediately and will want to go back time and time again, as much for the welcome and the atmosphere as for the honest and well thought out menu. Additionally it's dog friendly if that's something important to you."

Good food, useful in the area, which otherwise has few restaurants other than ubs. Is dog-friendly, but better for small dogs than large, as there is not much space between tables

The sheltered outdoor area was a total and very welcome surprise. Had a super friendly greetings and attentive friendly service throughout. A small well chosen menu choice that satisfied the four of us. We would happily return.

This is the second time we have visited La Collina and both times we have had delicious food and attentive service. They are very generous with expensive ingredients when they say ‘with truffle’ you get loads, and lots of fresh porcini in my mushroom pasta too. Exceptional Tiramisu delicious!

We visited the restaurant for lunch on a Saturday and everyone commented on the exquisite food, the attentive staff and asked how we had found this jewel of a place. It’s a lovely neighbourhood restaurant which even has a terrace which can be used when the weather is nice. We hope to visit again. View menu

My wife and I have been going to la Collina for many years. It used to be good, now what is served up is very poor. The chicken Milanese was tasteless and resembled cardboard in texture . The menu is sadly limited in comparison to what used to be on offer. Our feedback to the manager received barely any acknowledgement Very disappointing!

Dreadful and surly attitude from two members of staff. At the end of evening there was a tremendous disturbance in the middle of the restaurant from the waitress who claimed a dog had attacked her. The management lost control of the situation. Guests became involved in the argument between waitress and the dog owners. There was a lot of swearing which almost culminated in a pub style brawl. The staff were rude and lost control of the situation. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This aims to be an upscale neighbourhood Italian restaurant, not exactly a disappearing species. Unfortunately the food was disappointingly down scale, even if the prices were not. As examples, a whole sea bream (approx £30) was dry and unappetising, and the tagliatelle alla pesto (about £17) was basically a bowl of pasta swimming in a very unattractive soup of thin pesto with a lump of buratta on top. There are very many good local Italian restaurants but on this showing, this is not one of them. Go somewhere else. View menu

Lovely evening at Collina I booked the wrong day but even though it was a Saturday night staff were super accommodating and squeezed us in despite my mistake. We had steak tartare and salmon for starters both of which were lovely quality and very tasty. Both of us had pasta mains which were simple but very well cooked I particularly liked that the pasta was slightly al dente as most places over cook it. Great desserts and as it was our anniversary the manager gave us a shot to celebrate. Lovely homely romantic atmosphere and will definitely return (but booking correct day next time),

We received a friendly welcome at this local restaurant that we frequent often. We enjoyed dining outside in their beautiful courtyard, although we may not be able to do so much longer due to the unpredictable English weather. The Peach Bellini was excellent, rivaling the one at Browns Hotel bar pre-makeover. We also tried the pappardelle con fungi with black truffles, which was delicious with its unique smell. Both of us ordered the pan-fried monkfish in pancetta, once again with black truffle, followed by tiramisu, ricotta, and orange tart for dessert. The meal was served by friendly young waiters in this little haven that we greatly appreciate.
