"La Fabrique is a pleasant little bistro-style restaurant situated behind the main square in Marciac. In winter or in bad weather the number of covers is fairly limited, probably about 30. However there are a number of tables outside, so in the summer the capacity will probably be double that at least. The interior is simply furnished and quite compact, which gives the place nice a buzzy feel. The menu is limited, but with a fair level of variety. There is an interesting choice of tapas for a starter and then, apart from a couple of huge salads, there is a choice of four dishes for the main course. Between us, our party sampled three. The thai style duck was really tasty. The fish main course was very well received and the entrecote steak was nicely cooked, if a little chewy. There was a fair range of sweets and the café gourmand was very good indeed. Our party ate in the evening. The three courses on a table d’hote basis came to about 25 euros which, given the overall quality, seemed very good value. There was a good selection of wine to choose from, much of it being sourced locally from St Mont and Madiran. Prices were reasonable and several came out at less than 20 euros a bottle. The service was efficient and the staff all very helpful and friendly. La Fabrique is a good alternative to the pricier restaurants in the main square. In the summer, even outside the Jazz Festival, Marciac is pretty busy so it is probably worth booking in advance. It is even better value at lunch time, but I would warmly recommend it as a place for well-prepared food, in a pleasant environment, at a very reasonable price."

Super chouette petit resto avec un délicieux plat du jour avec dessert à 19€. Brochettes de gambas et chorizo en plat, petit bémol sur le dessert qui était un moelleux pas très moelleux mais le cadre et le concert fait oublié tout cela !

We 've eaten here several times and never been disappointed. The food is fresh, well-presented and the price-quality ratio €13.50 lunchtime 'formule ' is exceptional. Fabulous chips, succulent burger with a slim slice of melted local sheeps ' cheese, great mussels....easy outside dining on the terrace, good atmosphere, and our dog likes it, too. Through the town, on the corner by the D3 towards Auch. Easy parking.

This place does not look much from the outside, but give it a go. If the sun is shining, sit outside. The food is always fresh and interesting, my starter was cured salmon with the most amazing green haricot side dish, all marinated in some Thai sauce. Delicious. The main was a very comforting steak with fabulous chips and salad. My desert was Apple fruit compot with a delicious creme and crumble topping. Yum. The service is excellent.

Date night with my lovely wife. We hadn't tried La Fabrique, so thought we would give them a try based on an interesting looking menu. Foie gras was a bit tasteless (how is that possible? , and the entrecôte were overdone. Nothing badly wrong with the food, but not inspiring in any way. Prices seem a bit on the high side for the area as well I hope not to try to prop up a failing business because this will inevitably backfire. The service was great however top marks for that! A little disappointing today. We have been here several times prior to covid and have been pleasantly surprised. Today we visited with friends and the menu de jour was pretty good except for the rump steak which although was brilliantly cooked (med rare) was full of sinews. Our friends had the tornadoes of duck which were unfortunately overdone, the chef left them on too long. The crumble of peach was nice but more of a tartlet than crumble and a little too sweet. Coffee excellent

We've previously only eaten here at lunchtime during the week, but tried the weekend menu last week and were absolutely delighted. There's no prix fixe, but the value for the quality of food presented is outstanding. I had the pork chop from the famous local pork noir de Bigorre, served with a reduction of local Madiran red wine, which was delicious. If you're not feeling ambitious stick with the burgers really tasty, cooked to your liking with an actual melted slice of local ewe's milk cheese. Finish with a café gourmand (pictured) Not to be missed!

We 've been to this restaurant three or four times and it never fails to deliver. At lunchtime they offer a three or two course 'formule ' which usually includes a homemade burger or a fish course. There isn 't a huge choice but thats because its all freshly cooked. The speed of service was exceptional, even with a near full terrace our waitress arrived within no time. Only a couple of minutes later our drinks and starters were on the table. The service continued to be attentive and swift. The bill was a very pleasant surprise lunch and drinks coffees for two for under 40 Euros. Overall the food was nice but not exceptional but it gets my 5 stars because of the service, value and charming am... View menu

First time trying this restaurant. Everything is made on the premises. The starters were good, and imaginative. My beef was acceptable. The menu is a reasonable price, wine is included. However three members of our group wished to have salad instead of the main dish included on the menu. The waiter did not offer the à la carte menu to enable their choice, he did verbally suggest various salads, but omitted to say that these salads would be charged separately, together with the starters. This resulted in the final bill being much higher than anticipated. This in itself wasn't too much of an issue, but on querying this, the waiter was less than helpful, so we settled up, but we all agreed that...

When this restaurant first opened it showed at lot of promise. Unfortunately in recent months it has gone downhill fast. Today, a lovely sunny Friday when the other restos on the square were packed out, we were among the eight customers eating there. The reasons become evident very quickly. Very poor choice on the set menu supplements on two of three main courses, one of which was duck which is a staple around here!! and the other on the burger service which can at best be described as 'casual ' and food which had quite obviously been brought in from the likes of Brake Brothers. If you service beef tough as old boots mustard is a standard accompaniment but no, they had none. If you serve a b...
