"After walking around the neighborhood looking for an interesting place to eat, I saw La Huerta's entrance on a side street. Looking in a window, I was immediately attracted to the white tablecloths and cut-above place settings. I ordered monkfish with clams and artichokes for primero plata and Callos Madrileña for the main. The monkfish was delicious, but one whole baby clam was the sole representative of the species. Perhaps the others were blended into the sauce along with the artichokes. There were some tiny green specks in the sauce, so I can;t say for sure that they were absent. Don;t get me wrong, I wouldn't hesitate to order it again. The Callos arrived bubbling hot in a cazuela, a serving large enough for two, but I was alone. It was also very good. Unlike most restaurants in Alicante, where I live, the side dish of olives and the bread were not complimentary, so expect to see them on your bill if you eat them. The house red was very good and surprisingly reasonably priced. I was too full for dessert."

Went for a pre-work lunch. A colleague had sausage and beans, and another had chicken which looked good. My cod was tough, the toughest fish I’ve eaten. It was ok, but no more.

Caímos en este restaurante por casualidad, y fue una buena elección: sencillamente estupendo. El arroz del señoret estuvo estupendo y el tomate con bonito, exquisito El precio excesivo, aunque sea comprensible, pero no me permite ponerle mayor nota

it is a classic in my family. it always eats well of the best of Spaniards in the area. We ask for several things to share, and the truth is that everything is good. I personally ordered the meatballs with peas that were really good and good of quantity. correct price I think. There was a new waiter who was super polite effective and pleasant

Locals only seen during lunch enjoying Calçot and wearing bibs. That plus the snails that follow or the Fideua (a paella using pasta instead of rice) paints a picture of you being in Cataluña. Casa Ricardo has been here over 50 years and when he died, the widow wanted it to be named La Huerta (the Garden) de Casa Ricardo. If you come you MUST try the Artichokes confitadas. Wow! Sorry Tripadvisor but it does not deserve to be in the position your ranking system shows it to be. We always wonder whether locals don't rate their favorite or familiar spots.

Board menu, all that we had was of very good quality, most specially the rice meloso and the calçots . We actually went for the calçots which is a very typical Catalan vegetable, not really easy or usual to find outside Calatuña. The calçots were of excellent quality and prepared to perfection, same as the typical romescu sause that goes with the calçots. The meloso rice was extraordinary, and the very typical Catalan desert Catalan cream or Burnt cream was yummy! We didn 't sample any tapas at the bar, but everything that we could see at the bar looked delectable. The one but for me was that it was packed, and it took a while to get served, but I think it 's an excellent place, especially i...

the inner place is cozy, but too close to the tables at this moment. they have a covered terrace but not highly recommended if it is a rainy day. We spend a day of work and have a menu of the day, which is at a price of 20€, something excessive mainly in response to the relation of dishes that told us that they were in the menu. We ask for the letter for some calcs and a cod with blankets, both dishes to share between two and then a dessert for each. Although I asked for a glass of water what came was a bottle of mineral water (something more expensive than a glass of water.) the limestones and the rhomescu sauce were well cooked and the good salsa though something scarce. The cod was fine,...
