"Service was a bit slow 3hrs for 3 courses & no coffee... But meal was good, foie gras was great, black pudding parcels were fab. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly, duck breast was cooked well but not sure why both were served on skewers (which are always a nightmare to get the meat off without elbowing your dining partner or knocking over your wine!) and a huge bowl of potatoes?!? Chocolate fondant was tasty but didn't melt in the middle, banoffee was a success but the banana split was a bit disappointing - with just half a banana."

Great lunch. The 19€ menu had various dishes offered, and was delicious. Great service. Will go back without hesitation.

This charming restaurant overlooks the city and the cathedral from it's pretty terrace. Very well priced , interesting menus.

We went here for Sunday brunch and the food was very good. What made it exceptional were the two young ladies who served us. They were a pleasure and the food was very very good. Would happily return

Table for 4 on a Saturday lunch time, would advise you book as it is a popular spot. Excellent choice of local food, served fresh and hot. House wines totally acceptable and very drinkable! Fresh salads as starters, variety of fish or meat dishes on offer for mains. Friendly service. View menu

In our 5 day stay in Albi we paid two visits to La Plaque de L'Eveque and enjoyed both. The food was the best we had in Albi and was not expensive. The staff were very welcoming and even managed to find us a table on the balcony the second night when we had been warned when reserving that we might be relegated to the lower level because, being a Saturday night, they were fully booked.Highly recommended.

We had lunch. Started with salad. Each one of the four of us had the most wonderful salad - all looked very different but equally appetising. The plat du jour was either a fish dish or filet mignon. The cost of the set menu was 14 euros for two courses, which was amazing value and the wine was not too expensive. Only problem was it was quite warm under the awning on the terrace. Would like to visit again.

For 16€ each we had a great weekday 3 course lunch. 16€ also for a good bottle of Fronton rosé. Appeared to appeal to a younger local audience rather than the tourists that fill the restaurants that surround the cathedral.Although a 11 minute walk is needed to cross the river from the cathedral you are rewarded by a great view of the city eating in a delightful garden. Very friendly and efficient service. View menu

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch on the terrace, 16 euros for 3 course set menu - staff were pleasant but as there were only two servers and it was busy service was slow. Portions are generous and food was good but not very exciting. Toast with topping and salad starter, pork with cold potato salad main and an ok desert. A la carte was relatively expensive in comparison to the the menu du jour. It's a nice restaurant just not very inspiring.

Went here on a Saturday evening after driving for hours from the nightmare called La Rochelle... welcome was really friendly and all had wonderful fresh melon, ham and tomato starters followed by brochettes (2 of beef and 1 of lamb) followed by delicious ice-cream and all washed down with a red Gaillac. And then there is the view from the patio and the quiet ambience of satisfied customers and super efficient staff.Strongly recommend, also it's away from the commercial tourist traps near the cathedral.

"Our second night in Albi and two restaurants we wanted to visit in the evening were closed. We decided to venture to a small local Vietnamese restaurant that received only 11 reviews but all very good and from French visitors. We arrived early and we're the only customers but received a friendly greeting in French with little English but a willingness to work with our very limited language skill. We decided on the fixed price menu at 17Euros a person. My husband had the shrimp salad, the beef with onions and peppers with rice all very fresh tasting and the salad had wonderful and crunchy ingredients in a lightly creamed dressing. I chose the beef and nem...a lovely dish with ginger spiced noodle, small slices of perfectly tender beef and two small fried rolls stuffed with finely shredded veggies and meat. My main dish was the shrimp (crevettes) Thailandaise a most delicious combination of crisp onion, cabbage, and a fantastic spiced cream sauce. I was told it was spicy but without the final dash of hot sauce it had just the right amount of zip. Both of us had the banana flambé to finish. This was just the right amount of food...not so much food that it could be shared. The cost including a lovely bottle of Gaillac Rouge was about 47 Euros. We feel this was a wonderful and very pleasant dinner and well worth the price. Thanks again to Evean our waitress and her parents the chefs!"
