"Bergerac has some good restaurants and some very good ones. On the banks of the Dordogne river and between the two bridges crossing the river is an Italian restaurant that is outstanding. Great food, lovely décor, friendly and efficient service. Two lovely dining rooms and a terrace. There is a painting on the wall of the back room that must be seen. Try to work out who is on the gondola and what is the man on the bridge doing. This is a lovely, cozy, warm and friendly place which simply makes you happy. Then there is the food! My wife and I had Buffalo Mozzarella, Risotto stuffed with foie gras in a cepe mushroom sauce with Parma ham as starters. Then Saltimbocca with pasta. I usually dont like pasta but I loved this offering. Then a chocolate and amaretto dessert. We kicked off with a Prosecco and Amaretto aperitif and then a glass of wine. Finished with coffee. Euro 95 a good deal given the high quality of the meal and the lovely ambiance of the place. I will be back time and again and I highly recommend this lovely restaurant."

The food was good, in this quirky restaurant. The owner was chatty, we felt comfortable and had a good lunch. It was a little more expensive than we expected.

Had one of the best plates of pasta ever (red and green ravioli with truffled cheese) on their very pretty terrace. My husband enjoyed his veal Modena as well. Friendly and helpful service, too. The place is just a bit out of the center so has to be sought out, but it's right across the street from the river and easy to find. We'll be returning soon.

You would walk past this as it seems quite small with an outdoor area at the front and a nautical themed room at the back. Although almost at the end of a busy lunch period, the friendly staff extended the time for 6 of us and served a delicious, truly Italian meal, In particular the dish of the day which was a splendid sea food lasagne. Wish we had discovered it earlier.

I have been in this restaurant many years ago and thought we would put in a return visit. The place has not changed in any way and identical to my recollection from my previous visit. The menu is very limited. If you want a very expensive bowl of pasta or a pizza then this is the place for you. If you have a more adventurous taste then walk on by. The decor is quirky and the manager pleasant enough but I do not intent to return here a third time. View menu

Having ventured to Bergerac market on a wet and stormy Saturday morning, we later found ourselves back in this delightful little restaurant by the river. We were greeted by Stephan (the owner) who was warm and friendly, as always, and my husband and I ordered pizzas. They were freshly made; crisp, thin and downright delicious, and whilst surrounded by the well-thought-out décor, we forgot about the stormy skies outside, and were joyfully whisked off in an instant to the sun-baked, cobbled streets of Italy. Definitely worth a visit...

We parked outside this river facing restaurant when we first got to bergerac and thought that looks nice for a night out. Sure enough we went back later in the week. Should have booked an outside table, but the inside was very nice too. Clean, toilets get a ten. Waiter, I presume owner, speaks many languages. He managed to sell us things we hadnt planned on, and my advice is listen to him. Superb aperitif, to die for mushroom lasagne, gorgeous pud. Everyone enjoyed meal, and service. If 1 is mcdonalds and 5 is waldorf, this was 3.5 for food and price. I would go again.

"We went to L'Omelettaria for dinner with family and we were agreeably surprised by our experience there. Despite the fact that the restaurant was empty when we arrived which isn't that reassuring for a restaurant located in the very heart of the city, the owner was very friendly and welcomed us warmly. When it comes to the menu, options are varied; from omelets to salads and burgers, you can take your pick! There was also a correct amount of dessert options to choose from. As a pescatarian, I really appreciated the owner's thought of adding both vegetarian and pescatarian options to the menu which I believe and according to the menu we'd seen online weren't there before. Overall, the food was great: my mom and I both had the Atlantide omelet which consisted in an omelet filled with white asparagus and crème fraiche and topped with a slice of smoked salmon and lemon. My dad had the Paysanne omelet which was pretty filling; it was stuffed with mushrooms, cheese, potatoes and lardons. As for my sister, she had the Cheddar burger and it looked bomb. She loved it but couldn't finish it and honestly, I wouldn't have been able to finish it either because it was HUGE. Everything was served with a side of fries and salad which is nice and I NEED to mention that the fries are homemade and they are amazing. We thought we would still be hungry after dinner but it wasn't the case; considering the quality of the food and the fact that it is very filling, the prices are quite correct. Now, attention needs to be drawn towards the fact that the place in itself is not very noisy, but it is extremely close to a very busy street so it can get rapidly annoying. I do recommend this place, and I will absolutely do this again with friends in the summer after a few drinks at the bar which is a few steps away!"
