"Superb food and superb service. Cheap good wines was the cherry on top. We were a group of three. We first tried the oxtail, which was some melt-in-your mouth meat drenched in really good tomato-based sauce. To our surprise, the saltimbocca was even better. We got a 20€ white wine, which in any other country would sell for 80€ and up. We also got three pastas, two caccio e pepe, and one griccia. Really loved the griccia, the caccio e pepe was okay. The house sorbetto al limone was really good and necessary after a heavy lunch like this."

LaScala was a perfect location for our anniversary celebration. The staff was outstanding and made our celebration special by providing a champagne toast for our party as well as a special dessert. We loved the food and the piazza was full of life that evening. Would highly recommend LaScala to anyone! View menu

We ordered risotto and danish steak with green pepper sauce. These dishes were absolutely delicious! Even though the place was quite packed, they still managed to serve quickly and the staff was friendly. The prices may be a bit higher than your average restaurant in Rome, but it’s deffinetely worth it.

We dined at La Scala twice while in Rome for just five days, which tells you something about how much we liked the place. Terrific, traditional Roman dishes, great service, fun wine list and a wonderful setting combined to make it a delightful experience. Our waiter Lorenzo was simpy terrific. We’ll be back.
