L'Abri-Cotier - Menu

Didn't exactly bowl us over, having come here since another place was closed. Not bad, but rather similar to most places in the area.

Great coppa, good fish soup with aioli and croutons. Good monkfish or venison (boar). Well done service by Owner, not so well by servers

I visited both in July and in the previous May and June, when the restaurant was bustling and had previous owners. I found the food delicious and look forward to visiting again when I return to Paris.

Très bon restaurant(ce n'était pas le première visite!!). Nous sommes arrivés tard mais nous avons été bien reçus. Les plats sont toujours aussi bons et ça sent la vrai cuisine maison avec de bons produits!...

Having been on holiday in Corsica and enjoying their rustic cuisine we decided to try L'Abri Cotier which I think translates sheltered coast. It's a very authentic family run restaurant. Nice salad Corse with confit Duck and tartare de crevettes and not expensive. Tourist free.

This restaurant is located on Blvd Montaparnasse, close to the Luxembourg gardens. It is a decent option if you are in a close by hotel or if you just decide to stop somewhere in the region. That said, there are hundreds of similar restaurants with similar food with similar prices. Thus the "average" rating for tis place. I had the "croustillants de chevre", the "magret de canard" and the "cafe gourmand" on the 32E menu, plus a bottle of Bourgogne. Nothing exceptional or to be really noticed. The service was OK. Overall a honest place.

Nous avons réservé dans ce restaurant pensant déguster de la cuisine corse. Quel ne fut pas notre surprise en s'apercevant que la carte ne correspondait pas à celle trouvée sur internet. Nous sommes quand même resté dans le restaurant et nous avons été agréablement surpris par les plats. Nous avons pris le menu à 25 € :En entrée : soupe de poissons ou assiette de poissons crus ou salade de gésierEn plat : cabillaud au champagne (délicieux) ou magret de canardEn dessert : pain perdu caramel glace vanille ou vacherin vanille fraiseLa carte des vins est corse mais les plats ont des noms plutôt d'origine russe.Pour 25 €, je conseille ce restaurant.Prévoir une petite laine car il fait plutôt frai...

Nous avons déjeuné récemment dans ce petit restaurant à la cusine type brasserie mais aux accents corses. Nous avons pris le repas du midi à 16 euros avec plat au choix et dessert au choix.Mon ami a pris la tête de veau en suggestion du jour et même si la sauce manquait un peu d'assaisonnement, le plat était bon (peut-être rajouter un plus de légumes en accompagnement). De mon côté, j'ai pris des quenelles de brochet (certes pas une spécialité corse) mais plat savoureux. Le dessert = île flottante (très bonne).La carte du restaurant est composée de spécialités corses à découvrir lors d'un prochain passage à Paris. Walking in & realizing we were the only English speaking customers was a delight; this must be the real deal. And so it was!The fish soup, served professionally from a large tureen, was dark & subtle, an appealing musky flavor. And what's that clove of garlic for? Oh, you rub it on the toast, then top with the accompanying mozzarella & a dab of aioli, add to the soup and you're transported to Marseilles. My wife's warm escargot was on a bed of phyllo crust, absolutely delicious.The dorade with fennel was perfectly grilled, as was my flavorful salmon filet, each with different accompaniments of carrot, new potato & steamed cucumber.
