"In 1999, Friedensreich Hundertwasser designed the following architecture projects: the Sludge Center in Osaka; the green citadel of Magdeburg and the Uelzen station. In 2000 he died and was able to solemn inauguration of the station on 25th. November 2000 no longer live. The conversion according to his plans was a project of EXPO 2000. Many mosaics and the art of avoiding straight lines that characterizes the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The tiled colorful columns make this old Tudor-style building a colorful funny work of art, which is really worth seeing, more than a simple railway station on Deutsche Bahn. In 2006 and 2007, all platforms were adapted to the current standards and designed for disabled people, in addition, missing details of Hundertwasser's former design have been implemented. Reason enough to go back there and add some colorful pictures to my review. On September 2, 2009, the Uelzener Bahnhof was awarded the title of the year by the Pro-Rail Alliance in the category Kleinstadtbahnhof. Nearly half a million visitors visit this station in the year, there are also guided tours, unfortunately only from 10 people. [here link] As the next destination we have chosen Magdeburg and Lutherstadt Wittenberg, where Hundertwasser has also left beautiful traces. Unfortunately, it is not on the way to Heidelberg."

Finally a good coffee. Very good pastries and evidence. The possibility of EC card payment would be improved here, but otherwise I am very satisfied with the offer. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. 5 stars fully deserved View menu

A really nice restaurant in the middle of the Hundertwasserbahnhof in Uelzen. Very attentive staff, extensive map with many organic products and beautiful dessert variations. The ambience is simply great, you would normally not eat in a station restaurant, but here everything fits. Happy again!

No more stylish railway restaurant seen yet! The premises at the Uelzener Hundertwasser railway station alone are worth it. Menu consistently regional, with strong weighting on vegetarian as well as vegan dishes. Speciality: breakfast and snacks offer for the railway drivers running customers at reasonable prices.

For hundreds of water fans a must. After a few years, a train station rarely looks like new! However, it is always a rewarding detour and there is much to photograph. Please visit the NATÜRLICH Shop by Mr. Oliver HUCHTHAUSEN or on the Internet. Super beautiful operation, wonderful souvenirs and leopard glasses!!! Edgar Family Belgium View menu

Jaa what should I say....unfortunately you don't feel like going over this station as a woman, because there's really nasty pack roaming. It smells like Urin down in the entrance hall.Auch it's lacking in the entrance seating to wait for the train or bus.Obe at the taxi booths should be more green,so flowers or shrubs. It always looks so gray in gray. You should ask young audience more It is always very depressing and tight when Much is going to be stair etc.More contact persons or helpers for wheelchair users should also exist.Crises that often with how helpless some are on the station.

I haven't lived in Lower Saxony for so long, and if I go, always by car. Some time ago my sister moved to Uelzen and when we visited her, I discovered the sign of Hundertwasserbahnhof and was immediately fire and flame, and we made a small detour there. I like it very well, but I have a feeling for Hundertwasser. Only the corridors I found quite faded, that one could have done more. Inside there are also the small shops typical for railway stations: flower gifts, magazines/books, baked goods, small dishes cafe. There is also a station mission police station. A public tour takes place every day at 11:00, where individuals can take part for 3,50€. If you're close, you should make a detour here...

"Before: How can meat taste so nice?! How are unfortunately far too rare here, but every visit is a unique gastronomic culinary experience of the special kind! The Triple B Beef Brisket Burger is a revelation with its meat aged up to 16 h in the Smoker, the Red Slaw and the caramelized onions also round this burger tastefully by the light sharpness. In Brioche Bun to fantastic pommes and with the great Chili Cheese sauce I almost had an orgasm in my mouth. 'Your mudda' with a beefpatty roasted as desired and double Cheddar cheese, paired with a fried onion ring, neat bacon and a well-tuned burgers' sauce harmonized wonderfully with the equally fantastic sweet potatoes and honey mustard sauce. If you think Burger and Pommes are fast food, please continue to eat the bread of the golden seagull or the alleged king. Good food takes, and heavenly food in Mr. T will take an hour to serve, so there is plenty of time! The waiting time goes very quickly in the great ambience and with the attentive service, a great beverage card with various varieties of beer, craft beer, a local beer à ̃lzen , cocktails, and three delicious, homemade lemonades naturally very much support. In addition to meat products, there are also vegetarian or vegan alternatives, and also non-alcoholic cocktails are not missing on the map! Coffee variations and something for the sweet tooth afterwards complete the offer of this hopefully long-existing institution in Uelzen, which belongs to the top 5 restaurants in this city. The friendly service and the ambience also do their best to make the visit a truly wonderful experience that makes you feel like coming back! Inside and outside you can sit well, there are estimated 40 tables in total, which are always well occupied, so: book absolutely! Unfortunately, those who return spontaneously are probably rejected, because there is a high level of operation even under the week, and even then it is true that you spend good two hours here. If I've seen it right, it can be ordered and picked up. Food that is not created is also packaged in climate-protecting material without any conditions, paper and if unavoidable recycling plastic is used 100% instead of cheap plastic. Beverages with straw are also used on paper. Who hasn't been to Mr. T yet: Please, give it to you. It's worth it!"
