"Initial greeting was polite enough, but a bit distant. The building is well presented and we were given complimentary bread and water. The menu was good, although the mains don't generally come with any vegetables and you need to pay extra, so the fixed 2 or 3 course price is better value. We both had the pork belly. It was a little bit dry and one piece of the crackling was so hard as to be inedible. I like my veg al dente but the broccoli was rock hard and I left it. Puddings didn't really inspire us, so we stuck to one course. Bill was over £60 for 2 drinks and one course each, so a bit pricey for me I've eaten better, cheaper with warmer service staff."

We have only been twice since the Lamb changed hands last year. We were very impressed with our Sunday lunches.

Delightful weekend away at the Lamb and what a gem this place is. We found our room spot on, beautiful food, comfortable outside sitting areas and wonderful staff. Emily was the perfect hostess and made our stay so enjoyable thank you. We hope to return with more of our family.

A beautiful location to spend the weekend to get away from the busy 9-5 life. The room was nicely furnished, comfortable and homely. We had dinner downstairs in the restaurant which was delicious. Plenty of choice on the menu and the atmosphere was very friendly. Breakfast was again great with a large selection of items you could select as many as you wish. Would definitely recommend

We booked The Lamb for a birthday dinner and overnight stay, everything was excellent. The staff couldn't do enough for you, the food was first class and local produce used, the rooms were beautifully decorated, comfortable and couldn't have been cleaner. Will definitely use again if we are over that way, it was also just a short drive from Oxford which was great after a day sight seeing

Whilst during a two night stay we ate at the restaurant one evening. I started with the mussels in a Thai green sauce. The good portion of mussels were cooked to perfection although the sauce was a little too hot for my taste. However, if like my partner, who couldn't stop pinching them, you like that kick, you'll love them. We then had the steak deal for two. Steak, chips, salad a side of onions rings were also perfect. The friendliness of our hosts made for a very enjoyable stay.

Saturday lunch. Busy but not too busy. Really nice food well presented. Excellent staff, excellent service. You have to use WiFi to download a menu to your mobile which is, unfortunately, a pain !! The screen is obviously small. Just laminate some menus !!! It's easier quicker and makes reading and glancing through so much quicker better. I have no problem reading through a menu on a tablet provided but cannot be bothered with the hassle of logging on, downloading, scrolling back forth and again back forth etc etc multiple times. But overall enjoyable.

First evening open after Lockdown what a great experience. Usual warm welcome from all the staff to a gleaming, newly painted spotless pub. Even with social distancing measures in place, there was a great atmosphere both in the main building newly opened “bar marquee”. The management team have ensured all the staff are aware of, work to the COVID guidelines, but still retain the friendly atmosphere that is always so much part of a visit to The Lamb, along with the fantastic food creative menu. Thankyou Richard,Shelley,Emily all your team; wishing you continued success as you go forward.
