"After the excellent menu on the eve we had already decided to eat again in this inn. In addition, we had already looked at the menu in advance, where Dry Aged Beef is also offered, which we did not know until then. On the last evening of our stay we entered the restaurant again and were welcomed by the already known waiter. This time too we decided again for the same table in the interior of the restaurant, as the noise scene had to close from outside to a very well-stocked terrace. The service was as friendly and warm as on the eve, except for a practically perfect supply we also got tips for excursions to the area. The Dry Ager-Schrank stood in the guest room next to the counter, and we had already seen him curious at our breakfasts. Now the decision was taken, and we ordered both “Dry Aged Steak vom Pommern-Rind, about 350 g” (39.90 € , including potato swamp, herbal butter, steak sauce and a salad. For this we ordered a glass of wine (0.2l for 5,80 € and for us a large bottle of mineral water of the house brand (0.75l for 2,80 €). Beverages were served quickly and the bottle gave mineral water. Then, after some waiting time, during which the service workers were taken to the terrace in the minute cycle, our steaks also came. On each of the large plates there was a remarkably large piece of meat, with me with bones, as well as two small containers with herbal butter and steak sauce. The potato pile, with plenty of spring onions, came in a separate bowl. Both steaks looked very good and proved to be extremely delicate and fine-fiber. The taste was really excellent, it really tasted like meat, as “as before”. Some of the fats I have eaten, also the very tasty, while Madame removed the fat from her serving mostly. The meat taste was so good and intense that we both did not use the herbal butter, which was simply superfluous. Very good, on the other hand, the steak sauce, which, also with intense meat taste, fits very well with the stabbed potatoes. Regardless of this, the potato tamph was also very well seasoned and tasted from the consistency. Remarkable and thus also a hint of the exceptionally good taste of food was the fact that Madame, who almost always overshots me about a third of her normal large food portion, this time the significantly larger portion almost completely consumed.... Ambiente There was, of course, no change over the eve, so I refer to the review. Cleanliness Here nothing new: Picobello clean as from evening before."

Ein tolles Ambiente zum Valentinstag, eine hervorragende Küche, ein Menü, bei dem jeder Gang eine Klasse für sich war. Das Ganze umrahmt von einem kompetenten und sehr freundlichem Service. Einfach nur empfehlenswert.

Waren am Ostersonntag da. Es gab leider nur 4 Gerichte zur Auswahl, was man mir bei der Reservierung nicht mitgeteilt hatte.Hauptgerichte waren gut. Aber bei den Preisen für die Menüs, hätte ich bei den Vorspeisen und beim Nachtisch schon noch etwas anderes erwartet.Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.Die sanitären Einrichtungen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Das Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Die ständig wechselnde Karte lässt keine Langeweile aufkommen, auch wenn man das Restaurant regelmäßig besucht.Das Geheimnis liegt aber in der Liebe zum Detail und der kreativen, aber stets ausgewogenen Gestaltung und Zusammenstellung der Gerichte.Besonders zu empfehlen sind die Steaks. Hatte in Europa kaum bessere.Das Service ist ausgezeichnet und nie aufdringlich.Ein wundervoller Familienbetrieb, den man in dieser Form und Qualität nicht sehr oft in Europa findet.

After more than 20 years i visited Landgasthaus Rhode again, kind of continuing my history with this place which started some 35ish years ago.It is good to see that some good thing do not change - and do not need to change!Apart from the usual "brsuh-up" over the years the restaurant looks still the same, very german, very cosy and very homely - in the very bst way.Reception and welcoming by the waiter were very friendly indeed. They make you feel as a friend! We were sitting at the same table as so (too) many years ago.The menue is still full of delighful dishes, some of which were my favourites eyars ago are still there. New dishes have been added. The owners son is now helming the kitchen...
